The Browns haven't given up on Lee Suggs.

 

The oft-injured Suggs missed eight games last year and has played in just 25 games in three seasons. Though the Browns drafted Jerome Harrison and also have William Green, Jason Wright and Chris Barclay in the mix to be the team's primary backup runner and change of pace back, they still see Suggs as a viable option.

 

"Lee Suggs is a talent," Savage said. "We don't want to shortchange talent. If he can play, we want him as part of our team. But he's going to have to prove that he can do it for more than one game.

 

"We play 16 games, and we have to have some durability and dependability."

Of course, I think Lee Suggs is my 2000's version of Michael Westbrook--great talent, can't stay healthy...get's frustrated, career over.

Suggs only hope is to be released and latch on somewhere else. Sometimes people need a fresh start.

I was on the Suggs bandwagon. I think he needs a different team. Honestly I would like to see him in Minny.

they're talking him up to pump up his trade value. I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved over the summer if another team has a running back injury in camp.

Exactly. NFL teams are'nt like fantasy football owners that just stash away a player and wait for him to perform. Suggs hasn't played many games over his first 3 years and that's a long time for a team to wait for performance. Crennell is like the tuna, BB and other's who don't have alot of patience waiting for guys to stay healthy. I could see Suggs being cut or traded at some point as the Browns move on without him.

And there are teams (Raiders) without RB depth that could use a guy who does have talent.
