Jetdoc Mockers, Fri. 6/9 Update: Giving 'Grey' Till Sunday

Nan, I'm starting to have second thoughts about being in the mock.....not because I won't enjoy it, because I will, but because it would be nice to be more inclusive of others in this endeavor. I'm getting to do a mock right now and with so many wanting to be involved in the Jetdoc mock, it feels wrong to turn around and do another one while depriving someone else of the opportunity.

 

What do you think? I could still be involved as a commentary guy of some sort, but I don't want to give off the impression that the mocks around here are for certain people only because that's definitely not the case.

if youre busy or dont have the time, then by all means you can give your spot up. otherwise id love to see you stay in. there was some misunderstanding with the whole june mock thing. i think a few just thought it was odd to make a post seeming to invite people there for discussion when it was intended just to show people the picks. just a misunderstanding. theres nothing exclusive; as you said, anyone can use the mock board whenever. and theres antsports and commishtv and plenty of other ways for people to mock. anyway, if this was just some random group we had thrown together for a mock, id understand you relenting your spot, but this is a bit of a yearly tradition for most of us so i think i speak for us all when i say we'd love for you to stay.

 

its your call, and i totally understand your position. if you do decide against it, i hope you'll do some commentary still.

there was some misunderstanding with the whole june mock thing. i think a few just thought it was odd to make a post seeming to invite people there for discussion when it was intended just to show people the picks.

 

 

And now, several days later, the misunderstanding apparently still exists.

 

The post WAS inviting people there for discussion. It was always intended as such. How people got confused about that I will NEVER figure out.

 

For the final time, there was never an intention to post anything on the Main Board that did not allow for complete and unadulterated discussion. The only thread that was meant to be discussion only by mockers was on the June Mock board.....as is the custom.

 

No thread on the Main Board is ever just to "show picks". The Main Board is for public consumption. All we were trying to determine is how we might invite guests to come over to the JUNE MOCK BOARD and make comments THERE.

 

It got blown completely out of proportion....all we were trying to do is be MORE inclusive than usual, not less.

 

As for the Jetdoc Mock, you make excellent points. The Mocking Station will be open all summer long as is Antsports. This is a traditional mock and I should feel honored to be invited and I am......therefore, I will stay on and it should be fun.

haha sorry, thats what i meant i promise. i just didnt word it right. i think there was just confusion when you invited discussion and didnt specify where it was to be. a few of us showed up at the mock board and got turned away, but only turned back to the main board to contribute there. i think thats where the misunderstanding was. anyhow, water under the bridge. i dont think anyones upset about it, or ever was really. i know im still checking in once or twice a day. its june, what else is there to do lol.

I'm with Bomb on this one Fumble.

 

I understand your concern considering the June Mock thread but as has been said, EVERYONE is free to mock at mock station or other sites.

 

We'll keep you on and we'll deal more clearly with any threads we post here (if at all), plus looks like we will get some new blood in anyway as we'll likely have a couple of spots open.
