Seems like our pace has been decent today. Ideally, you want to knock out about 3 rounds a day....and finish in 5 days, so it would be nice to pick it up a little tomorrow...... Da Bomb 0 Posted June 19, 2006 yeah, the people in the middle of each round need to get used to either sending a list or checking about once an hour. sometimes it can take us a few hours to go through half a round, and other times a few minutes. im heading out for about an hour now but should be back around 530 or 6 central for the evening to make my own picks and take lists. Clash of the Titans 1 Posted June 19, 2006 i love uncle roy this year.... he's supposedly in the best shape of his nfl career currently...i'll gladly take him as my #2 wr here in a start 3 league...there was another i strongly considered but i feel uncle roy was the best wr on the board at 4.4..adp be damned i think williams is one of the most purely talented wide receivers in the game..he's gonna explode under mike martz and i think the mad scientist will turn him into a superstar by getting him the ball early and often...i think he'll be the focal point of the offense as i expect the defense to struggle putting detroit in catch-up mode on many Sundays...the guy can run any route and make any catch...he also is a great downfield blocker something near and dear to my heart being a former wr myself......roy hasn't been fully healthy his 1st 2 seasons but still had 8 tds each year while missing action...in this passing scheme i think he puts up 1200 yards and 10 + tds easily in his big breakout 3rd year although i will say RC cola stole donald driver right out from under me! Da Bomb 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Ok, how long has he been on the clock? less than two hours. and to be fair, we did say unlimited time on nights and weekends. we just need these guys in the middle to be checking more often in case we spin through a bunch of picks and get right back to them. they have more responsibility to check in than the guys at the end. that and the fact that both ends seem to be full of guys like me who have nothing better to do than sit here and whine that its not our turn yet. I agree, but if you always post with a , cause you're tickled to be in the draft, then respect others in the draft. This wait isn't nothing like the last one he caused, but it adds to it. If you were here in the last couple hours, we'd likely be back to you for rnd5 by now. Da Bomb 0 Posted June 20, 2006 NAn - I'd line up an alternate just to be safe, one more strike and he's out. i unfortunately have to agree at this point. at least having an alternate ready would be good. every year it seems like theres one guy who slows thigns down some and then we spend half our time grumbling about it. it becomes a big distraction, like now, where we've spent pages of threads talking about when the next pick will come instead of discussing the mock. personally id prefer to spend an extra day or two and focus on discussing the picks instead of focus on the wait between them.
