Deuce "Is Loose" McAllister

Recommended Posts

So, here's a scenario that's keeping me up at night. If Bush re-enters the draft and screw the Saints, where would that place McAllister's stock?

KFFL reported this about three weeks ago:

Saints | McAllister 85 percent recovered

Fri, 30 Jun 2006 18:27:38 -0700

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports New Orleans Saints RB Deuce McAllister (knee) is 85 percent recovered from knee surgery and is expected to be full go by the time training camp starts.

If he is ready to go by training camp, that's a really good sign that he is recovering from the surgery very well. I think you'd have to rank him in the top 15 after a strong training camp.

Could be a great value in early drafts. His ADP is in the 5th and he could easily slip into the 6th.

Any in-depth articles on his progress and surgery (like the one on Javon Walker that was posted)?

How is their offensive line doing? Can the addition of Jeff Faine make up for the loss of LeCharles Bentley?

I honestly think that this will be a lost season for New Orleans. They will suffer while Payton jettisons veteran players who don't buy into the new system, and re-shapes the team. This year I think that they will be terrible, probably the worst team in the league.

I'll stay away from any N.O. player until the 7th round or later.

Sharing carries, coming off knee surgery, always playing from behind, and how's New Orlean's O-line these days???

If he cracks the top 15 it'll be a miracle.

2000 yard season

I'd appreciate it if you didn't respond to my posts with asinine, snide comments.

I said he could possibly be top 15 if there was no Reggie in the equation. He's done it before and he was on pace to do it in 2005.

All I was saying in my post was you could possibly get a starting RB who is proven as your RB4.

Not too bad to plug into bye weeks if you ask me.

I just hope he racks up those 2,000 yards during my starters' bye weeks.

I guess if there was no Reggie Bush in New Orleans he could crack the top15.

In '05 he was On Pace For:

1,072 Rush Yards - 10 TDs

54 Receptions - 374 Receiving Yards - 0 TDs

That should be top 15.

If he were 100% and there was no Reggie Bush, I do not like him as a #1or#2back.

Faine  LeCharles :wall:

As for Deuce.... (assuming Bush holds out the entire year) he's still would be in his first season back from a torn ACL... NEVER a positive thing... facts are facts
