yojimbo81 0 Posted July 25, 2006 A holdout is a bad move for Bush, in my opinion, and I would bot support it at all. Because of the situation in New Orleans the media and NFL fans would blast Bush left and right. That's not fair because no player should have an obligation to a team because of a disaster. But Bush needs to live with the fact that he was the 2nd pick in the draft and he should be paid like the 2nd pick. That is what the draft is about. Phillip Rivers had a legitimate gripe with San Diego. Had Bush been traded back to the Texans or to another team the he would have grounds for being ticked off and demanding his money. But he was picked 2nd fair and square. He should not hold out. Twenty-six mil is not chump change. Would anyone support his decision to hold out if it happens? Guest cuseinroch Posted July 26, 2006 Not sure how I feel about it. Last time I checked though, the vast majority of 1st rounders haven't signed yet. If you don't at least threaten to holdout, you aren't going to get the best possible deal. Its very possible a bunch of other players have threatened the same thing but its not news-worthy.
