Which Trade?

Recommended Posts

I have two trade offers both involving Javon Walker and I can't decide which to take.

-Trade 1-

Javon Walker and Koren Robinson

for

Terrell Owens

-Trade 2-

Joseph Addai and Javon Walker

for

Chris Chambers and Willis McGahee

As of now my RB's are LJ, Westbrook, Addai and Fred Taylor. My WR's are Wayne, Walker, Lee Evans, Jerry Porter, K. Robinson, and Deion Branch.

So would you take TO and expect another monster year while only giving up a 2nd tier WR and a backup that probably wont ever see starting time on my roster?

OR

Trade my #3 back and Walker for another 2nd Tier WR (that is relatively unproven) and a rookie with breakout potential?

Leave me a link and I'll try and respond ASAP.

DON'T GIVE UP WALKER!!!! He will be killer this year. I really like the trade for Chambers but I truly believe that Walker will finish in the top 3 WR's this year based on his circumstances:

1. He's in Denver

2. New contract with performance stipulations

3. Same QB that already knows the team and plays

4. He's more than capable

Hmm. Interesting input. You think Walker outproduces TO and Chambers? and that he'll outproduce them by enough to make up for the difference in McGahee and Addai?

I am not sue why this person is so high on Javon Walker but I would take either trade. If I had to pick one I would go with the Chambers, McGahee offer. Its a little safer and I really am not big on Fred Taylor, even as a reliable back up. McGahee gives more depth.

That's sort of what I was thinking. McGahee leaves me with a great RB in case Westbrook gets injured or doesnt produce. But I'm not sold on Chambers producing considering how Culpepper performed last year before the injury. TO has his usual risks, but if he stays on the field and puts up numbers as he has in the past, him along side Wayne with my backfield, Tom Brady, and Shockey at TE could leave me at the top of my league. It's a risk though.

It's not a keeper league. Should have made that clear, sorry.

We also do standard scoring. 10 rush/rec. yds= 1pt. 25 pass yds=1pt. rush/rec. TD=6pts pass TD=3pts.

True. TO is a little too risky to give away a starter for I guess. Anyone think I should keep Walker and trade Reggie Wayne?

I would say take either trade. Im not sold on walker being huge this year. Denver is a run first team and when is the last time they have had a WR blow up? I would take trade #1 because its like trading TO for walker straight up and TO is way above walker on everyones projections. Good luck.

That's a good point. It's basically TO for Walker straight up, but the other trade gives me depth at RB and a solid RB too. Anyone with any arguments for/against Chambers/McGahee since we all know the TO risk/reward situation?

i would take the 2nd trade, simply because it is safer as someone already said... i would rather have mcgahee than addai just because u dont even know if he will be in a RBBC situation, the starter, backup, etc... Willis is the man in BUF and while thats not saying much he still will get his 25 touches.

Chambers is the man in MIA, and performed last year.... while Walker MAY outperform him this year, he is a bigger risk due to having not played last year, being in a new system, knee, etc.

Good luck.

All good points. Thanks. Any ideas as to how I could tweak the trade a little? Maybe offer Wayne instead of Walker? I'm open to ideas.

Thanks to everyone for the input. Anyone got anything really in-depth about why I should take which trade? Stats? Projections? etc.

TO all the way. no need for a over rated willis with yoUr rbs you have now. always get the stud if you can. addai will be th starter sooner rather than later and backup westbrook with moats.

you willhave an unbeatable team with lj and owens. the other palyers are good to have but not when u can get a true stud. TO all the way and if he chickens out then take the ohter. mark my words. you wll regret passing up TO. best behavior at least for first year
