Yes. Don't do it.

 

In my league (1 QB, 2 RBs, 3WRs, TE, DEF, K) over 2003-2005 (standard scoring except QB TDs are 6 points), the top RB has scored both the most points out of ANY position and ~140 points MORE than #2 RB. I would encourage you to do the same analysis using FFToday and see what yours is. I bet it is close.

 

Historically from 2003-2005 mine has been:

 

#1 RB 140.48

#2 RB 108.64

#3 RB 104.96

#4 RB 63.84

 

If someone is offering you pick #2 or pick #3 overall with something GOOD (another pick - NOT a swap - in rounds 2-5) then do it. Otherwise, the value you will lose will be too great.
