Scoring, FLEX & Injured Reserve question.

Recommended Posts

Couple quick questions. Our league has been running for over a decade, and we never switched to the FLEX position. This year we are going to and I just want to make sure I am correct in how this works.

You start 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 TE along with a FLEX position which can be a RB, or Wr or TE? Is that correct and are there other ways you guys use it?

Also, we have 1 spot on the roster for Injured Reserve and were thinking about moving that to 2 IR spots. How many, if any, IR spots do you guys use?

And finally, we are voting on adding a new scoring bonus for long TD's

Im not sure where to start with this, but right now on the table we are looking at awarding 1 or 2 bonus pts for passing TD's of 35+ yds and run/rec. TD's of 25+ yards. Let me know what you guys use for this so I can adjust accordingly.

Thanks.

That's how it works.

None. Are you a keeper league? If not, why would you need IR spots? Is IR anyone who's hurt?

I don't know, it sounds alright. Bonus pts don't really change the socring much.

As for the flex, this is typically how it works, yes. But you can make the rules that a QB is flex too, or any position for that matter, but the majority of players will use a RB, WR, or TE. Also, most of the leagues I play in start 3WR fwiw.

Also, we have 1 spot on the roster for Injured Reserve and were thinking about moving that to 2 IR spots. How many, if any, IR spots do you guys use?

We have only ever played with 1 IR. And man has their been problems with that. It's great to have, but you really have to be on top of the injury reports. It has been my experience that some teams will try to hoard a player on IR when they are rightfully on IR, but then when they come off IR they never activate them. Also, what will you consider IR? Out? Doubtful? Probable?

We've only ever done anything over 50 yards, and then it's doubled, at least as far as a TD is concerned. So a rushing TD over 50 yards is 12pts.

Thanks.
