Guest Edgefan Posted August 24, 2006 Trying to figure out what to do here: dynasty/contract league. Plummer Brees Losman S. Jackson L. Jordan R. Brown W. Parker N. Davenport Ricky Williams L. White (took with 1:5) pick Roy Williams Porter Stokley Greg Lewis Kasay Steelers My next two picks are 1:8 (my turn to pick right now) and 2:5. a guy has offered me Chad Johnson and Antonio Bryant for those two picks. Also, I've been offered the 1:9 pick for Willie Parker. so... I could take the trade, get Johnson and Bryant, upgrading my pathetic WR corp, then trade parker for 1:9 and pick Cutler or V. Davis. or I could keep the 1:8, trade Parker for the 1:9 and then take Cutler and Davis (or maybe J. Norwood) with 1:8 and 1:9. Then take one of the rookie WR's at 2:5 and maybe 3:5 depending on who is still hanging around that late. does this make sense? Can anyone offer some wisdom> ok,
bonkbonk 5 Posted August 24, 2006 Didn't Ricky retire? I dont like any of those trades. Trade one of your RBs for a good WR straight up. Get Norwood and Cutler if you can. I think Atlanta and Denver have decided they are the future. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=223934
bjlmonster 0 Posted August 24, 2006 I would try maybe Chad Johnson/Bryant for 1.8 and 3.5? I would take Cutler if I were you. He looks great and will step right in for you and be a stud when Plummer is pushed out of Denver. If you don't like Cutler, take Norwood here! Your RB's are fine, but if you don't like Parker, trade him for 1.9 and pick up Norwood. I think I would much rather have FWP at this point however and try to trade him for a top WR to someone who needs RB help. Hope Greg Jennings falls to you at 2.5 and jump all over him if he does. Other than Porter, your WR's will be okay this year. If you can land Jennings and possibly a veteran FA later in the draft you will be good to go with RB depth and Cutler warming up on your bench
