Vertical Smiles 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Florida Times Union Well that didn't take long. Too bad I lost Greg Jones - if this continues it's going to be a messy backfield for a while. I don't see Pearman or Toefield being able to handle the load if Taylor misses time; wonder how long til Drew is moved up the depth chart.
patsfanjrb 0 Posted August 30, 2006 I am not a Fragile Fred owner but if this was serious I dont think it would have been shoved to the bottom of this article. Also more news on this would be flooding this board if it was anything but saving Fragile for the regular season. Toefield could handle the load by the way. bobbyld332 0 Posted August 30, 2006 UUURRGGGH!!! Ah well, it's only a 'sore' shoulder.....maybe he's just taking precaution..... Why did I draft this guy....maybe because I drafted Greg Jones?? Wait a minute.....AAARGH!!!
gottabesweet84 0 Posted August 30, 2006 This is where it begins. Drafted Freddy T in one league real late as RB3

A couple missed days of practice is not that big of a deal... yet. We will have to wait a week to see how serious it is and what happens. The missed days could be - and probably are - precautionary. As for his back ups...I would stay away from them unless you have a couple throw-a-way bench spots. None of the rest are worthy starters at this point. delusional247 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Got taylor as my 2 in a redraft and brown as my 2 in a keeper... ugh
tt1010 0 Posted August 30, 2006 It's a sore shoulder. No MRI, no X-rays mentioned. It's the end of preseason when teams are extra cautious. That's all I see here...
ricanrockers 39 Posted August 30, 2006 Guys, it's a sore shoulder...nothing big. I'm sure Portis owners would rather him have just a sore shoulder than what he has now. (slight seperation I believe)
tony hardware 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Sore shoulder, agreed. I have a sore shoulder and I'm working. No big deal. They're probably being extra-cautious given his history and this is the last game. Regardless of whether Toefield or Drew-Jones-Baren-Cohen-Goldstein-Michaels-Turner could actually carry the load; some dope will think they can and take one in a trade just because they're a starter. Getting these backs isn't always about starting them, but using them as trade bait. We all know this maaaaan.
lowman 4 Posted August 30, 2006 Non-owner.Just a reason not to dress for the last preseason game.
patsfanjrb 0 Posted August 30, 2006 View Current News List | View News About Fred Taylor | View Fred Taylor's Player Page Fred Taylor nicked Fred Taylor has a shoulder injury and missed his second straight day of practice. Precautionary? Probably. Training camp ended last week so these are just extended walkthroughs. But with this club Taylor might have a "Grade 3 Anterior Dislocation" and we wouldn't know for a couple weeks. Seriously, Taylor's actually never dealt with upper body injuries and we suspect he's fine. Posted on Aug 30, 2006 - 10:39 AM
football_scooter 0 Posted August 30, 2006 It's the end of preseason headed to final roster cuts when no starters play and veterans like Taylor get lots of rest. EVERYBODY PANIC!!!!! focking morons. Keep talking about this like it's something, please so I can steal Taylor even later in drafts as a RB4.

Busted by the Feds 9 Posted August 30, 2006 Does this mean more touches for Matt Jones or Wilford, maybe ? Since it looks like they'll have no running game at all one Fred Taylor goes down.
