W. Parker

Recommended Posts

I have the 11th pick in a 12 team league and am considering taking W. Parker in either the 1st or as my 2nd pick. I really think he will have a monster year, and is a proven back. Do you think this it too early to draft FWP, am I reaching. I really like him more that C. Williams, D. Foster, J. Lweis, W. Dunn, W. McGahee. Am I crazy or do you agree. I thind he has the talent and team to be a top 5 back, do you agree or disagree.

Parker isn't going that high but I agree and think he is in for a big year. Point is if you believe that then take him there so nobody else gets the reward.

I've been really high on him this year. I like him over all of those guys. C. Williams is a close call though. I think he could put up some good numbers this year, especially getting at least some goal-line carries.

I'm a Burgh homer and I don't like this...he's not proven, he just runs behind a great line. He's a decent back, nothing more.

1202 yards 4.7 average 75 yard superbowl record run. I am also a homer and just think he is a little proven. Also don't think Pitt line is the greatest there good but nothing special.

So do you think it is a reach to take him this early or not?

The great thing about Parker this year is that he does not have to worry about an RBBC and out of almost all the guys you listed he is healthier. I have the 12th pick in a 12 man league and am thinking the same thing about this. I know I am going to take 2 backs and probably get wayne and walker in the 3rd and 4th as my receivers, but which backs to take is the question. I am not sure that Westbrook will be healthy all year and in a league is NOT PPR I think that Parker could be more productive. It is a very hard call. I'd probably go with Parker and one of the other backs you listed. Hell even going RB elite WR isnt that bad at this point.

No. If the other guys are gone that you like take whoever you think won't be there in the 3rd that you want.

Fixed

**= Max Starks hands to the face of Tatupu, which prevented a sure tackle, was not called by the incompetent Bill Leavy. Don't base drafting FWP on that run. FWP is a 3rd/4th rd pick. Let someone else take him in the second round.

He is going to get a shot at the goaline carries and if that works out he will be in for a very good year. Pitt is also changing there offense to cater to his speed. So not really a reach Imo.

When is too early? 4 . Anything after that is fair. He is a feature back who is coming off a big year and will now get GL carries. You can make as much of a case for FWP being the 4th pick as you could SJAx, Ronnie, Edge, etc. If you want FWP, then don't worry about what everyone will think and just take him.

I also had #12. Took Jordan and Westy, then foster at #3, Wayne at #4, then Walker at #5

In my 10 team league of mostly experienced guys, here's who was drafted before FWP, who I picked up at 3.01:

Tomlinson, Ladainian

Alexander, Shaun

Johnson, Larry

Barber, Tiki

Brown, Ronnie

Jackson, Steven

McGahee, Willis

Williams, Carnell

Johnson, Rudi

James, Edgerrin

Westbrook, Brian

Portis, Clinton

Jordan, Lamont

Bush, Reggie (absurd imho)

I like him this year.
