MrBurns 3 Posted September 5, 2006 I have to have my line-up in on thursday. I am going to him. So I chose to start Frank Gore in his place. It was between Gore and Lundy and I went with Gore. I am interested in what you are doing this week. Feel free to share.

The Fighting Monk 0 Posted September 5, 2006 It's Droughns for me. Had to draft an undisputed starter just in case Portis can't go week one. Sucks fantasy wise having him going on Monday night, But I am going to the game.
J-Money 4 Posted September 5, 2006 i'm planning on him starting until i hear otherwise, if he can't go i'll throw in betts
kcBlitzkrieg 29 Posted September 5, 2006 As of now Im benching him for FWP. Im also starting Westbrook & Foster at my flex. Just like the rest of you, Im going to keep waiting on any good news before I make my final decision Thursday evening. Im also debating whether to play F.Gore instead of Parker, that way I could wait until Sunday for the Portis decision. Anyone second that move over FWP? Romulan 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I might start both him and Betts (along with C Williams) im my start three rb league. unfortunately my other choices are Maurice Drew, and rookie Washington (Jets) so not much of a choice really
DA BALLHOG 0 Posted September 5, 2006 If it looks like he won't play I'll plug in Lee Evans or Antonio Bryant, if he looks like he will play I'll leave him in my lineup and throw in Betts last minute if need be.
OB1 33 Posted September 5, 2006 I'm paying a heavy price for risk/reward picks in week 1. At the 10 out of 10 spot I got James and Portis. My backups are Bell and Bell from Denver and then Addai. I figured I could wrangle up a backup out of those 3. Shanahan is being Shanahan, and Addai isn't ready for primetime, so right now I have no clue what i'm going to do. I'm guessing i'll wait and see what the reports on Portis' practices or lack there of are and then if it doesn't look good i'll go with Mike Bell and pray. thannay 0 Posted September 5, 2006 Starting FWP and Bush with Derrick Mason in the flex. Don't exactly like it, but it's about my only option. I just hope he returns in week 2.

Ras66not99 0 Posted September 5, 2006 In my league our starters don't lock so it's flexible up until game time.... Ironically the two guys i'm debating between is Portis and Chester Taylor who happen to be playing each other... so i get to wait it out to the last seconds to see whats really going on who says the fantasy gods are always cruel

Shakespeare 0 Posted September 5, 2006 Fresh off the wire... (Associated Press) ASHBURN, Va. // Running back Clinton Portis and cornerback Shawn Springs did not suit up Tuesday as the Washington Redskins held their first practice of the week in preparation for Monday night's regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Portis, who partially dislocated his shoulder in the preseason opener against Cincinnati, was the only player not on the field at the start of the workout but arrived to watch before it was over. Springs, recovering from abdomen surgery, and backup defensive end Renaldo Wynn (sprained ankle) also watched from the sidelines. "He is still day to day," coach Joe Gibbs said. "He had a real good day in the weight room and rehab also. He is doing a real good job with it and will continue to expand what he is doing. It is still day to day, though. He feels like he is making good progress." Portis set a franchise record with 1,516 yards last season. If he can't play, Ladell Betts will get the start. murf74 461 Posted September 6, 2006 I'm starting Kevin Jones, even if Gibbs says Portis will play. I want to see him get thru a game first. I think KJ is in for a decent year, will get lots of touches no need for me to risk anything week #1. If Portis goes off and I lose....I will be the happiest loser in fantasy football history. Ronnie Brown is my #1.
