Trip McNeely

Reggie Bush will be the #1 Fantasy player this year

Recommended Posts

This guy is the real deal and I'm pretty certain that LJ will be a bust. LT and Shaun Alexander are over the hill and they are both due for injuries. If Anyone saw Bush in college, then you know what he can do on the field. I don't think 2000 yards is gonna happen but it is possible.

My predictions:

1800 rushing yards, 18 TD's

I cant wait till Bush just dominates the whole league. Do you think he'll put the Saints in the playoffs this year? Or will they have to wait til 2007 season?

That's one hell of a trip, McNeely. There are other factors besides talent that you have to consider like the team, the scheme, and playing time. Those 3 all weigh against him. He might get 1000 this year, but that's the top end of the projections. If Deuce gets hurt, you can upgrade those a fair bit, but 1800 is completely out of the question.

You disagree? The guy is the most phenomenal RB talent to enter the league since... I don't know when. Heck, the whole draft was called the "Reggie Bush sweepstakes". You think that is for a 3rd down back with 600 yds and 2 TDs? :(

Ron Dayne won the Heisman trophy too. He's obviously parlayed that into a studesque NFL career. <_<

There is NO way Bush will even come CLOSE to 18 TD's. In order to score alot of TD's you need GL carries and those are going to be all Deuce's this year.

1000 combined and 5 TD's for Bush

800-1000 and 10 TD's for Deuce.

Ron Dayne will never be better than a top-5 fantasy back. You can take that to the bank

fixored

If he plays on one of the worst teams in the NFL. They will need to rely on Bush to produce offense. They are likely to get down early and often so Bush will likely see more time then Deuce because of his prowess in the passing game. They will need his big plays to comeback in games. Talent wise, the Saints are so bad, Bush is their 2nd best WR.

Now it is fixed.

Are you the Trip McKneely from Cant Hardly Wait? If so you're a loser. LT will be the #1 fantasy player, its his time

I wonder what these people will say when Bush gets 200 yards and 3 TDs... in his first four games.

1,000 yards, 7 TDs on the year for Bush. McAllister is a proven badass in the NFL and will get the carries where it counts, and have more TDs.

When the Saints get a decent foundation for the team (o-line, defense), then Bush may get 2,000 all-purpose yards, 15+ TDs. But it's tough to imagine that'll happen this year.

That he's on pace for 1000 yards and 12 TD's - which may not be #1, but would have put him just outside the top 10 RB's last season?

I don't understand how that could be considered a failure in his first 4 games.

So you're suggesting that the highest possible upside of a guy that was taken #2 overall is a spot starter?

I'm not saying your numbers aren't what will happen - but it is ridiculous to state that this is his upside.

I never said Bush would fail, or even do poorly. In fact, I think him and McAllister will combine to do well overall. But talk of Bush being a top 5 RB this year is ridiculous.

I think Bush is a great talent, but there's not a lot of other talent on that team team to keep defenses honest. They are going gameplan to stop him. He'll get free for some big runs occasionally, but I don't expect him to be top 10 in fantasy points.

Why, why didn't you post this before my draft? I knew I shouldn't of drafted SA, T.O., & Harrison. Oh GOD, I could've drafted Bush 1.01 and I blew it!

I think after reading this post, I might just start shoving sharp objects down the end of my member :wall: .

Being taken second in your own sweepstakes= :D

I guess I will continue to toss in this fact that every Bush hypist seems to ignore. Until the second half of the Fresno State game last season Bush was not in any way the consensus number one overall pick nor was he even the clear Heisman frontrunner. This is not my opinion, this is 100% fact.

- In his career, he has averaged a touchdown every 15.0 times he touches the ball (41 TDs on 615 touches).

- His 2 seasons with 2,000-plus all-purpose yards (he had 2,330 in 2004) ties an NCAA record.

But up untill that Fresno State game he sure did suck.

Where did I post that he sucked? I didn't.

You could post exactly the same type comments about both Vince Young and Matt Leinart. Read my post, I said he was not the clear cut number one pick nor Heisman candidate until that game. Even every media rube who wanted to blow this guy said the same thing. Young and Leinart were both mentioned with Bush basically at all times until that game. He was in that mix but wasn't at all definitively number one. That is all I said, nothing more. Reread the post.
