Spoiler 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Now that I'm on the right board, who should I start at RB week 1? R. Brown B. Westbrook L. Jordan R. Droughns I can start 3 RBs with pretty much standard scoring. The match-ups are making it tough as this is where I need to get my core points given I had Big Ben as a QB and only have B. Johnson as a back-up. Any recommendations?? Thks Post your link and I will help with your question if I can. THIS JUST IN, MORE CONFUSION From CBS.Sportsline.com, Reuben Droughns (vs. NO). Start'em: In one career game against the Saints in 2004 with Denver, Droughns rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Sit'em: Ronnie Brown (at PIT): Pittsburgh led the NFL this preseason in defensive yards rushing, allowing 70.8 per game. And the Steelers were third in the league against the run last year. One-week bust: LaMont Jordan (vs. SD). San Diego allowed only 84.3 yards rushing per game last year and held Jordan to 91 yards rushing in two games. While Jordan did have two rushing touchdowns, he should struggle this week. Are these guys any good? Any additional help with my decision as I am certain to find another site that recommends the exact opposite??
Canoman 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Brown has the toughest matchup of the lot by far. I think with that choice, I'd have to take Brown, Jordan & Westbrook, although Jordan, Westbrook and Droughns sounds very good too this week. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=229490
guitarmonkiy 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I think they're all gonna put up similar numbers, so they're pretty interchangeable. If I was in your situation I'd probably sit Droughns, but would also consider sitting Lamont.
MattJonesRepresent 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Sit Droughns... Please see mine: http://www.certainteed.com/NR/rdonlyres/DD.../MSDSLetter.pdf
Spoiler 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Thanks for the input. Your link is a pdf? Sit Droughns... Please see mine: http://www.certainteed.com/NR/rdonlyres/DD.../MSDSLetter.pdf
joeunleaded 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I'd sit Droughns - Brown should do ok tonight, Westy will be GREAT at Houston. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=229728
Toothless Grin 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I would sit Droughns. Pretty good group to worry about. should do well no matter. fftoday
Bently 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Sitting Droughns is a mistake...he will go over 100 and hit paydirt at least once. Plus hes always a viable option in the recieving game. I would strongly consider sitting Brown or Lamont, despite them being your two best backs. With Roth out, Pit will struggle to put points on the board, and Ronniw will be used to wear down the clock once Miami gets a comfortable lead. Sit Lamont.
