GravesVT 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Trying to figure out my final roster spot. Should I start Fred Taylor@Dallas or Mike Bell@St Lous.. Obviously Dallas has the tougher defense, but Fred Taylor will definetely be getting all the reps (at least the majority, especially with Jones done). I'm thinking of going with Mike Bell, however I am still uncertain that he will definetely be the starter, I think he will see maybe 10-15 touches and all goal-line opportunities, but will he produce more than Taylor who may get 20+ touches? What do you guys think?
pyite22 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I'd stay away from the Denver running back situation. I'd go with Taylor.
PanicAttack 13 Posted September 8, 2006 I would go with Fred-- Dal Def is better but I would not expect to see Bell to get the ball more than 12-15 times with the RBBC in Den good luck Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230138

I think T. Bell will get more of carries in the first game. Better to wait and see how things pan out. If it makes you feel any better I am sitting T. Bell in favor of Frank Gore this week. I guess we will both be happy or crying after week one.
J5 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I would go with Mike Bell, who appears to be the one who will be getting the goalline carries. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230192
Ray_T 753 Posted September 8, 2006 if taylor is healthy he is money in the bank. When healthy he produces as well as any #1 back outside of the elite guys. when he gets banged up and injured he becomes less effective. as this is the start of the year and I havnt heard much with respect to his being injured, I'd expect he is healthy for the time being and I'd start him. he will put up good numbers until he gets hurt (likely game 4 or 5) then he will probably warm your bench. I'd start him for now, but keep an eye on the Jaxonville injury report cuz you may need to make last minute changes if he gets hurt in practice or something. cntblah 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Another vote for Bell - the Cowboys D is just too damn good. JAX might not even get into the endzone this week. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230219
Emteesee 4 Posted September 8, 2006 I'd be tempted by both but choose Taylor in the end. Shanny is just too unpredictable. M Bell could get the start, falter on the first drive, watch T Bell score a 60 yard touchdown on the next drive, and then ride the bench the rest of the game. Too risky, go with Taylor. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230215
washittwice 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I like Bell. Call me crazy.. but Week 1 is the week you've gotta test him. If you want to be a safe weenie, you can go with Taylor.. =p http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230216

If you're playing a guy who has a stronger team and you need to take a risk to win.... start Bell. if you're playing a guy where you expect to win if you get adequate to good performance out of your RB and you dont need anything fancy.... Start Taylor. if it's close: Start Taylor. hes guaranteed production. and his backup is injured. you're guaranteed at least 60 yards (most likely 80-100) and a touchdown against dallas. sezu 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I'd go with Fred too. Might as well get something out of him before he breaks again. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230252
