Kilroy 0 Posted September 10, 2006 What a time to go down, it always does this!!!! They're off to a bad start this year. First our online draft was messed up because of the site's problems and now I can't check any of my leagues cause the pages aren't loading.

baltfool 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Maybe it's just the few of you here bitchin, it has worked fine all day for me. Fast updates, GameCenter has been good at CBS also; maybe it's just certain parts of the country or your internet connections?

Fast updates, GameCenter has been good at CBS also; maybe it's just certain parts of the country or your internet connections? I've used the site for 4 years with one league and have never had a problem. This year I started a new league on there and the site botched our draft and now it's super slow Week 1. Week 1 has been slow before, but not usually this bad. They normally have it worked out the next week. It is dissapointing though when you want to check your league out and it's goofed up all day. Kilroy 0 Posted September 10, 2006 They're HQs is based in Florida (at least one of em is anyway). Whenever there's bad weather there, it seems to slow things up with the league. Not usre if there's any bad weather in Florida at the moment though. It probably just has to do with how much traffic they're getting. Anyways, it seems to be working a little better now. dominus florenzus 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Im in NJ and it has been down for me for a while now... I have some Yahoo leagues using stattracker and man that thing is really sweet. Much better than anything I've seen on CBS or ESPN. I have a feeling that fantasy football has been pushed so much by media and marketing this season, that it is exploding and the espn, cbs etc servers did not expect this much volume. Now it seems like you cannot go a day without hearing on the news "this guy is a good fantasy pick." I remember a long time ago me and my friend would get together after school on Tuesdays with the newspaper and tally up our fantasy points
lambert58 71 Posted September 10, 2006 You guys are the best.. CBS sporstline has been up all day. There were no delays at sportsline. The delays were at NFL.com which gives sportsline the game feeds. If you guys would have paid attention you would have realized that your players stats were up-to-date even though the games were dragging and behind.

If you guys would have paid attention you would have realized that your players stats were up-to-date even though the games were dragging and behind. The problem was that I couldn't get into any of my leagues. That has nothing to do with NFL.com. I've used the site for 4 years and never had a problem. That said, thye didn't start off too good with the 1 o'clock games. If it worked for you all day that's great, but don't give a thumbs down to others for complaining about legitimate problems they had with the site.

avery 0 Posted September 11, 2006 This is my 6th year running our league on Sportsline.com. Every year they have issues in the beginning of the year, but I will agree that this year it was the worst. I'm located on the East Coast, (Washington, DC). They have some sort of timeout feature built in that turns off the inline java loading of stats and reverts to the old style of automatic refresh of the entire page. However, that seemed to be ineffective too. I also noticed somthing this evening. They disabled the new "comwire" feature from our website even though we have it turned on. I wonder if the coding from this new feature caused some problem or was part of the major problems. I think the major problem is the fact that every year they have some "new features" a.k.a. new coding that hasn't been truly tested with the type of load that is experienced during game time and/or they don't have enough redundency in they entire network design to protect from failures and bottlenecks. I do think they leave a lot to be desired considering the amount they charge. Speaking of charging... they need to give out a prorated refund for these down weeks. It's one of the major reasons we use their service.
