thePIMPmaster 0 Posted October 27, 2006 The scary thing is, their potentially best offensive player hasn't played all year. (Connolly) Their just gonna bring him along slowly so he's ready for the playoffs. That's a scary lineup. Connolly, Briere, Drury, Afinogenov, Pominville, Vanek, Roy and Hecht. Holy sh1t. How do you stop that?
OD99 0 Posted October 27, 2006 No team that ever started 10-0 has won the Stanley Cup!! BitterSenatorsFan Sabres looked great at the end of last year and they look even better now - that team is scary good with their combination of speed, touch and goaltending. The scariest part is they really are a TEAM - watching them break out of the zone is like watching the Roman army - very much in unison. In other news the Sens pounded the Leaves again!!! Blitzen 0 Posted October 29, 2006 I guess the streak is over then... The Habs did it again tonight...skated for about 20 minutes in their game and almost managed to win against Toronto. They got the one point but deserved to lose all the way. Aebisher was shaky in the first period but ended up making 47 saves.

How do you stop that? Since I've been living in the Dirty South (close to Atlanta), I've been following the Thrashers with great interest the last few years. They showed alot of promise late last season and now that the current season has started it's obvious that they will also be a force in the NHL this year. What impressed me most about the Sabres last night was their ability to close quickly on the puck and shut off the passing lanes over and over. That team quickness and some good solid net-minding should easily take them deep into the playoffs this year. Great game to watch last night, and the crowd giving a standing ovation afterwards was truly a sight to see. But watch out for my Thrashers!

BMoney 0 Posted October 30, 2006 The Thrashers finally have a goalie. It goes a long way. lehtonen rocks i like the thrash...i just fear that kari is a bit injury prone..i hope that isnt the case..they can make noise in the playoffs if he stays healthy... buffalobillsffl2003 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Down 4-1 to the Boo-urns, Sabres storm back in the 3rd and win 5-4 in a shootout. 11-0-
BMoney 0 Posted November 3, 2006 that was pretty cool... all that money spent on chara..mara...whoever else.. and its the D that lets them down late...Thomas had no chance with those goals... is it any surprise that marc savard hit it big in Atl with kovalchuk..cashed in by signing with boston..and has now faded..reminds some of the lapointe move, to a smaller extent.. (ok, in fairness..marc has 7 pts in 9 games..but does anyone think he will equal last years numbers of (28-69+97)..i dont..

lechuza 0 Posted November 14, 2006 No miller, no afenagenov, no tallinder, no lydman, no connolly what do the sabres do with all those injuries? they go on the road to the defending league champions and beat them 7-

thePIMPmaster 0 Posted November 16, 2006 Yeah, must feel nice to get a truly lucky win for the Sens. 2 goals from the blueline, one was a high stick, and an empty netter that deflected off the boards. That's OK. I'll take Buffalo's position anyday. Once the team gets Miller, Afinogenov, Lydman and Tallinder back they'll be fine.

On Shaeffers goal, the puck never went higher than the cross-bar so his stick contacting it wasn't above the crossbar when it made contact. Just stating the facts. Maybe it wasn't a high stick, but the Sens did get the bounces, that's for sure. Either way, the Sabres are 15-2-1. What's the Sens record? thePIMPmaster 0 Posted November 19, 2006 Another win for the Sens. Nice job. I'll give them credit. But it'll be another story when the Sabres get Roy, Tallinder and Lydman back. Two rookies back there on defense who don't play much right now. The Sabres top 4 have been massively overworked the last few games and it showed tonight. No worries though. This team needs to lose a few games so they don't get too caught up with themselves.

pt_mck 7 Posted November 19, 2006 Do you get that excited over a regular season win in November? Yes, when the sens have sucked as bad as they have it's amazing what difference an actual NHL goaltender can make to a team.
