Let me preface this by saying I hate both the Senators and the Sabres. Now, I hate to break-up the Sabres love-in here, but what game were some of you watching? If any of you have played hockey before, you'd know that the Neil hit was clean. If you have the puck and get rid of it, there is still a second or two of follow-through the opposition is allowed. Drury had his head down (and his helmet loose/unstrapped), Neil hit him with his shoulder, and Drury's helmet got driven into his forehead on the way off, cutting him. If you don't believe me, listen to any of the post-game analysis done by anybody but Rick Jeanneret - the overwhelming majority are saying the same thing. The fact that your only arguments are "retarded", "pos", "pansy", "loser", "poosay", and "phag" tells me that you know you don't have a leg to stand on. As for Lindy Ruff, he has always been one of the two biggest whiners in the NHL (him and Pat Quinn lap the field). So he sends his goons out against Ottawa's "non-fighters"? Pathetic, but predictable. The saddest part? That he sent a goon to attack a bloody goalie. No, wait - the saddest part is that said goon couldn't beat up the bloody goalie. The Sabres have a very skilled team, no doubt about it (probably the best team in the league), and I think Ryan Miller is one of the top three goalies in the league - very underrated. Defending your teammate is one thing - I'm all for it. But do it right there, while your teammate is down (why was Stafford the only one to do anything?). The way Ruff did it was pretty bush - he waits until a defenseless skill line goes on, and sends on guys that wouldn't even be in the league if it was still 21 teams. A ref not calling a penalty doesn't mean he didn't deserve one. There are plenty of examples of that during a season. Emery should have gotten a game penalty when he hacked Lapierre on the head but didn't. The league did suspend him afterwards anyway.
