To the Sabres Fans

Congrats on a great series win. I want to hate you guys so bad, but your full of class acts from players to coaches. As much as it SUCKS losing, if we were gonna lose, its best to lose to the best team in the NHL. I hope you guys crush those pansy asses from ottawa.

Good Luck the rest of the way

I'll say this, as much as I hate the Rnagers, they played a great seiries and never gave up. Fun series to watch. I also will be rooting for Buffalo the rest of the way.

Odie - you there today ? Place sounded insane. There was one chant I couldnt make out - not HENRI or lets go rangers - I think it was after each goal.

NHL Rules!

Yeh dude, place was LOUD. The big chant was "These Refs Sucks", which they did, for both teams. Maybe you heard was " Hey, Hey, Hey" during the ranger goal song.

Rangers played as best as they could, but in the end , the better team won. Next year, your islanders will be on the upswing, and with the flyers having a ton of cap, devils in a new arena, and buffalo being the team they are, Hockey in the Northeast is gonna be a blast to watch

You guys that were there, outside of the atmosphere, from just a viewer approach, is it worth it? I'm guessing you can follow the action better on tv, unless you had really close seats.

Also couldn't find this game this televised on versus  Forgot that sometimes one of the espns carry it.

It was on NBC.

And going to hockey games is definitely worth it. There is no better sport to go see live than hockey

In a cold induced haze I named off the stations that might have it to my brother and he wound up settling on a motorcycle race.

the U.S./Sabres/Rangers/Islanders love in here is :dunno:

Buffalo hasn't had an easy game yet in these playoffs. Islanders & Rangers get the respect they deserve.

And now on to...the series that had to come, especially after last year and some of the games this year.

Senators - Sabres

Everyone jump on board...LET'S GO USA!!!

Lundqvist had a hell of a series. He was the best Ranger player out there. Rangers would be smart to lock him up for over 5 years.....maybe not as long a contract as DiPietro. And DiPietro was strong in the first round.

Ottawa hasn't faced a decent goalie yet. Marc-Andre Flukey and Marty "Lou made me play 800 games this year" Brodeur. In a way, I'm glad the Sabres have faced some tests in the first two rounds.

This will be a great series. If it even comes close to last year's Buffalo-Ottawa series, it will be great.

Western Conference final should be a damn good one as well.

Debating with a few friends to go to game 6 in Ottawa. We're leaning towards "yes" if we can get tickets.

4 tickets in 305 for game 6. Free hotel 2 miles from the arena. Class is done by then. Hopefully we're up 3-2 and wrapping it up :dunno:

Ottawa is a damn good team. This is going to be a tough series. They have a good defense, but Emery is very beatable. They have to find ways to get good quality shots on him.

There's a lot of negatives about tonights game(specialty teams), but the Sabres put in an awful effort and still was tied until about 12 to go in the game, and they battled back down 2. Sabres at there best are still the better team, they just have to figure out how to play at their best, which they seem to have issues with.

I thought the Buffalo/Ottawa series had seven games written all over it before last night, and I saw nothing that happened in Game 1 that changed my mind. Fasten your seatbelts - between this and the Detroit Anaheim series, we're in for the best two weeks of hockey since the '87 Canada Cup final between Canada and the Soviet Union. :ninja:

As far as fans go, I agree. The problem with that is that I still think Anaheim wins it all - I don't see any weaknesses on that team.

The Sabres defense has been OK. Good enough to win. I've actually thought the Sabres have been the better 5 on 5 team. The problem is they are getting destroyed so bad on special teams that it doesn't matter.

I thought this thread would have been a lot worse after not checking for 2 days. Now that I've stopped kicking my dog...

I don't know what was worse about game 2:

-no goal for vanek

-any shot on emery = automatic rebound, but won't shoot (this means you derek roy and brian campbell)

-power plays

-sabres lack of desire or inability to do the little things

-the officiating (breathing on a guy = 5 on 3 vs. alfredsson hit = nothing)

-briere scoring, giving a false chance of hope we might win a game

-an unscreened slapshot beating miller

I'm just going to assume Ottawa wins game 3 tonight and in dominating fashion, that way I can in no way be disappointed

The Sabres have looked absolutely horrible in Game 3 so far (11 minutes to go in the third). Giving up a 2 on 0 when you're on the powerplay?!? They've completely deserted Miller tonight, who has been phenomenal and has kept the score from being 6-0. The Sabres should be ashamed of themselves. :dunno:
