Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 10, 2007 http://www.boston.com/business/articles/20..._out_pats_fans/ The San Diego Chargers are trying to solidify their home-field advantage against the New England Patriots Sunday by restricting the sale of tickets to Southern California residents only. Same thing in Chicago. Bush league

Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 10, 2007 Isn't this the same thing that Pats fans did for last week's game vs. the Jets? Not at all. There were a bunch of Jets fans at the game. It was quite nice watching them stagger home with their heads hung low. Having fans from the other team is great.

Having fans from the other team is great. Hmmm...I seem to recall reading about Pats fans who were selling their tix, but refusing to sell them to Jets fans. I have no doubt that there were some Jets fans at the game last week, as they easily could have gotten their tix from brokers or other fans who were willing to sell to them...just as I'm sure there will be some Pats fans in teh stands this weekend who bought their tix from brokers or other fans. Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 10, 2007 Itsatip that every team does this, including the Patriots. Can't you read, Welchy? The Pats don't do it and the Chargers have not done this before. It is a new thing for them. Hmmm...I seem to recall reading about Pats fans who were selling their tix, but refusing to sell them to Jets fans. I would imagine that many Pats fans did not sell to any Jets fan. That is because the Pats don't allow you to sell your tickets to other people period. The Patriots have no exclusion on who they sell their tickets to. That is what is happening here. The Chargers will not sell the tickets that they have available to anyone outside of So. Cal. I think that their rule regarding resale of tix is even more heavy-handed than what SD is doing. Frankly, I think you are just jealous that the Pats didn't think of this first. Oh...and SD's ban on selling playoff tix outside their local area effected a whopping 1000 tix that went on sale. The stadium holds about 50,000 people. I agree that the Patriots preventing us from reselling our tickets to anyone at any price is too heavy-handed. That is a completely different discussion along with our "anti-scalping" laws. In this situation, however, the Pats would not be looking to exclude people from other areas coming to the game. It makes no sense.

For the love of God, until such time as you have grasped these concepts, substitute "impact" and "result" for "affect" and "effect" (respectively). Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 10, 2007 wow, you got owned on the mange board so now you post this over here... I posted here first. Where exactly was the "owning"? It is a stupid policy. I would say the same if the Pats had done it.

Well, they were debating the policy with you and then you resorted to name calling. That's a sure sign of ownage (or a small peenus).
