LT Press conference

LT should pay attention to his classless teammates more then his classless opponents...

http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/...rticleid=176897

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...d+Patriots+news

I read both articles, and none of that really seemed all that bad. It doesn't help your argument any that both websites exist solely to hug the Pats' nuts, either.

Didn'T LT make commenst last year after they beat NE in NE that the Pats were overrated?

NO. Last year coach Schottenheimer said yes we beat the Pats but don't crown us or anything because the Pats aren't what they used to be. Then Brady cried like a bitch about it.

I hate LT, I think he is a great player, but he is getting too big headed.

Not at all. He was just frustrated and tried to defend his team's pride. I don't condone what he did today, but it wasn't because he is big-headed. ;)

 I'm sure your parents appreciate you posting their address here. Maybee LT2 will see your address here and he can stop over for a dunk in the pool and you two can ###### to eachother. :pointstosky: Classic!

LT was frustrated. Let him take a day to reflect and I bet that he changes his mind.

If he is p!ssed about the Patriots giving a Merriman dance, then perhaps he might want to tell Merriman to STFU before the game since he gave plenty of bulletin-board material.

I hope that LT is like Tiki Barber and really has some class. The reality is that he has not had to deal with adversity so it could be that he is a sore loser. I would like to think that this was an odd occurrence and that he has as much class as he thinks others should have

Yeah... LT has been Superbowl MVP every season since he was a rookie. So, you're right... this is the first time he's faced adversity.

I won't call you a moron... as I'm assuming you're f-ed up after celebrating that non-loss by the Patriots... but...

If you think that a guy who is arguably one of the best RB's to ever play the game that has spent his entire career with a sh!tty team hasn't faced adversity... well... you're drunk. If you're sober... you're a moron.

If you don't like other teams dancing on your logo at centre field, don't lose. Otherwise stfu.

I see nothing wrong with celebrating a tough road victory. LT is a great player that just let out some frustration at the wrong time. There is always next year. Brady for President!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone pointing out the Patriots lack of class should maybe take a look at this years' San Diego police blotter:

CHARGER ARRESTED: Chargers third-string tight end Ryan Krause was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence during the weekend, the seventh run-in with the law by a team member this season. Krause was arrested early Saturday and later released on bail.

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police said that Chargers backup linebacker Shaun Phillips was arrested early Friday morning after he scuffled with a patrol officer.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - San Diego Chargers player Terrence Kiel was arrested at the NFL team's practice facility on Tuesday for shipping cases of Codeine-based cough syrup, a controlled substance, the Drug Enforcement Administration said on Wednesday.

SAN DIEGO -- Chargers practice squad cornerback Markus Curry was released by the team Monday, just hours after he was arrested on suspicion of committing domestic violence.

SAN DIEGO -- Cornerback Cletis Gordon of the San Diego Chargers' football team was arrested early today in San Diego on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said.

SAN DIEGO – San Diego Chargers linebacker Steven Foley was arrested early today on suspicion of resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and being drunk in public after an altercation on a University City street, police said.

Hey, if you don't like the player's police reports, quit watching football. Otherwise stfu, right?

I like this if-then-stfu philosophy. It solves every problem.

Merriman is a showboat and they gave it back to him. He went on national tv and picked against the Pats. If you can dance then deal with it when people dance on you.

LT shouldn't shame himself and take away from his great season by talking smack.

Ok, I don't like seeing my team's players getting arrested and I don't like seeing my team lose in the playoffs so I'll cheer for the Patriots. Now I'll stfu.

You're right, it does solve every problem.

Merriman is an idiot. They put him on the spot at halftime of the Jets/Pats game and asked who he would like to see win, and then he said he thought the Jets would win because their defense was holding the Pats. He obviously only watched the first quarter before the makeup lady wisked him away from the television, but if you associate it with the question, he was focking complimenting the Pats. Jesus Christ.

I'm not even a Chargers fan.

Not a LT or Pats fan but my take is...

Pats players and coach are classless. Owners and Brady are classy for the most part, but Brady can be whiney. Boston fans have always been, and will always be classless.

LT shouldn't have done that, but considering what a classy guy he normally is, i'm going to take what he says seriously. It's not like Belichek and the pats didn't deserve it. I almost always root against Indy, but this year I'm switching and rooting against the pats.

Here's what's annoying about the Patriots. They won't say anything prior to the game ever, but once the game starts and especially after it's over, they do more shit-talking than a team full of Muhammad Alis. So basically they are as cocky and disrespectful to opponents as anyone, but they do it in such a way that they don't give the opponent bulletin-board material (this is just smart on their part) and they pretend that they are taking a higher ground (this is totally lame on their part).

***ATTENTION ALL NFL PLAYERS***

If you feel as though you must do dances after you make a single play then please be prepared for the reprecussions. If you sack a QB or make a great play and then dance to celebrate, show them up or whatever your reason is........you had damn sure better win the game!

The worst thing you can do is get pizzed off after a loss for another team imitating your dance, when you shoved it in their face during the game as they lay on the ground after your play.

If you are teammate.......don't defend other teammates for their actions. It makes it look like sour grapes and nothing more.

As for me......I love it. Dance, showboat, do whatever you do to make this game entertaining. Deion Sanders, Chad Johnson, Joe Horn.......give me theatrics! Stand on the star Owens.......then in retaliation have Emmit score and stand on the star! Give me drama, excitement and one hell of a game!

What I don't want is crying after the game. When you lose....you lose. Man up and work harder in the off season and/or get your teammates to work harder and not make idiotic penalties that cost you in key situations.

The Bolts had a great year, they simply got beaten by a better playoff team. I am NOT a Pats fan, but when the playoffs start they are the team to beat. They're tried and tested.....so sorry LT, you can cry about them dancing, mimicing, having no class......problem is they have 3 rings and you have none.

Had to get in on this. LT and the Chargers just got beat in their place. And some Pats did that assinine Merriman dance. Hey LT, your boy who without the NFL soft roid rule could have been out for the season, has been all over TV with his mouth and his sig. dance. He gets in his first BIG GAME and comes up ..........SMALL. Defending your turf, maybe I can buy that. But to go on national TV and question a teams class not to mention calling out their head coach was weak. Ask R Caldwell, Jr, and R Harrison about the NE and the coaches class. Lastly, see if that stiff Merriman saved some of that popcorn he sent J Taylor, and in a classy way told the nation about it, so the 2 of you can watch the games this Sunday. You`re better than this, learn and bounch back!!!

LT was pissed off long before the game ended. He cant really call out who he wants to call out (his own team and coach) so he does the next best thing and complains about the celebration. "Hey LT and Merriman there's a simple way to keep the Pats from doing Merriman's lights out dance on your fifty" beat them. The Chargers have the more talented team but everyone the Pats face in the playoffs has the more talented team. The Pats as usual had the better TEAM. The Chargers self destructed and that's that

Imagine for a second some of the Colts mocking the Ray Lewis dance on the field in Baltimore after their game. If you were a Raven, you'd be pretty pissed. There's a big difference between celebrating a win and mocking the team you just triumphed over.

LT is still the class of the NFL. You guys expect him not to get emotional and pissed after losing a tough game like that and having to watch a couple of classless bastages mock his team? Gimme a break, he's a freakin football player, not the second coming of Christ.

That said, Merriman is still a total douche. I'm glad he lost, but I'm not glad LT lost. Plus, Schottenheimer deserved better than that - lots of folks will blame this loss on him. I guess you can place a little of the blame on him since he should have his players better prepared mentally - but when it all comes down, his players (Parker, Jackson, Rivers, the secondary) lost that game for him by making mental mistakes at critical junctures, and the Pats made 'em pay.

I hope the Colts beat the Pats on a Vinatieri FG. It would be a fitting ending to the Pats dynasty, Belichick losing because in his arrogance he failed to value the right players.

Hey once you walk the walk you have every right to talk the talk. To the victors go the spoils

Just heard someone talking about the fact that the Pats have won 3 superbowls and should act better. Well everyone including the Boston media had them dead and buried so the game ends "Now we do the dance of joy"

Funny but when Gostkowski kicked thee FG's including a gamewinner and a 50 yarder I was thinking the exact opposite...that so many of these controversial decisions appear to be well thought out and seem to prove Pioli/BB's right in the end no matter how painful they seemed at the time. I'll probably think the same thing when the draft rolls around and the Pats are the only team with two #1's.

Let me clarify the statement. He has never had to deal with adversity in a big game. He has not really played in a big game before.

I am glad that you finally showed back since the Chargers blew it. Marty-ball. We love that guy. He gets invited to all of the Patriots alumni functions

If anything every player in the NFL who celebrates after sacks, interceptions or a tackle for a loss of yards are more classless than what the Patriots did Sunday. Give me a break, you're telling me that if you just went into another teams house and stole the game from them by scoring 11 points in the final 7-8 minutes and winning on a missed FG you wouldn't act emotionally?

How can you support Hines Ward and his stupid imitations of other player celebrations, and then be glad LT ripped on the Pats for imitating Merriman's dumb-ass celebration?

You mean like Tom Brady?

I love Hines Ward, I can do without his imitations. The only one I loved was against the Eagles in 04 when he did the bird thing like TO.

I never took the "2" to mean second-best.

I thought it was because Lawrence Taylor was the first LT, and Tomlinson was the second.

If Kellen Winslow Jr. ends up being better than his father some day, is he no longer a jr.?

The "2" indicates a sequel...and sequels are always worse than the original. Can't they both just be LT? I mean, given the context of the discussion, it's pretty obvious who is being talked about.

Copying a dance on a TD is a little different then running to mid-field and mocking the other team. Call it one of those stupid unwritten rules, but the Pats need to act like they've won before and show a little more class. That being said, I don't know who was dancing it was probably some lame backup.

I don't like the Pats, but it's mostly since their fans are so overbearing now. I absolutely love the way Tom Brady plays and carries himself (even when he whines, he's earned that right). I love LT, hate Merriman and he should be treated like Barry Bonds/McGwire, etc. But, there is a way to win and a way to act.

If LT wants to Biotch about anything, He should go over to Parker's home and punch him and his family in the face, guy frop so many balls and a punt.

Then he should go over to River's house and punch him in the face also

That lame lob pass to LT was terrible

You Patriot fans are cracking me up. None want to own up to their players' a-holian behavior. But if the shoe was on the other foot, Patriot fans would be  like like there's no tomorrow, no doubt. I know many of you lambasted Owens for putting the ball down on Dallas' logo.

Pats fans are just totally ignoring the behavior because it's convenient to them...

"If you don't want the opposing team to take a crap on your logo, win the game."

Let's just gloss over the classless act.

I guess we can add hypocritical to bandwagoning in our definition of Patroit fan.

For the record, LT needs to be a little bit more thick-skinned.
