It certainly didnt help that durable goods took a nosedive at the same time. I would expect this to further temper the housing market.

if you are looking to gouge someone for well beyond your homes value, better wait until June or July. :dunno:

The "Occupation"....i believe you are thinking of another war. The War on Terror, we are paying for it.

Isn't common knowledge that in 20 years China and India are going to be the two superpowers?

If Hillary gets elected, yes. Giulliani, no.

...with Chinese & Japanese loans. They hold the most US debt of any countries in the world. Almost a trillion dollars worth of US treasuries alone.

Unless Giuliani can stop the trade deficit, and stop running a budget deficit, the Chinese will own more and more of our assets. Is that part of his platform, since you're such a fan of Rudy?

In a round about way, yes. Our entire economy is affected on what essentially amounts to a favorable exchange rate for china. Everything we do , which dwarfs the cost of the war, has been handled via this exchange yet you wanna make the "Occupation" the reason? Typical.

nice.

Oh my god I just laughed so hard at that comedy equivalent of a Van Gogh. Lay down and take it up the azz at the first sign of a struggle Beta Male tried to make a funny. That was genius!!!

Well, if we're in a DEBTOR situation (which we weren't 8 years ago), then we occupy another country (the cost of which BTW is purported to reach One Trillion dollars), we know WE'RE not paying for it. - Somebody else is. And, the two biggest holders of US Govt Debt are China and Japan.

...and I'm pretty sure I didn't say that the EIGHT TRILLION dollar debt Bush racked up was solely b/c of the Iraq Occupation. (though, a pretty nice chunk of it, huh?). Only that foreign lenders were paying for that occupation. But, YOU not having reading comprehension? Typical. :o

He didn't try to make the occupation the "reason" for anything. He was pointing out that it's funded by debt, much of which is held by Japan and China. Seriously, try and follow along. Typical.

Dodging the point and instead firing back with gay innuendo when anyone points out you're a dishonest dipshit. Typical.

According to CNN, alot of this was due to a computer glitch.

It's Tuesday morning in Japan, and the market continues to slide.

Likely another down day for the US, making what, 6 in a row? :(

In case anyone was curious, yesterday's tumble (percentage-wise) was the 268th worst all-time

No big deal. There had been quite a few gains in the market that were due for a correction. Might be a good time to buy, but not really a time to sell off (unless you have a complete dog), and definitely not a time to panic.
