pimptastic69 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks to the ability to legally get away with rape, everything they own is bought and paid for. I didn't know one could rape (whatever you are talking about as it pertains to this argument) but, I'm sure you have evidence.

supermike80 1,909 Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks to the ability to legally get away with rape, everything they own is bought and paid for. Rape how exactly? Charging what the market will support? If you don't like the profits companies like Exxon Mobil make, drive less! -OR- scrap your SUV for a more fuel efficient car. If you owned a company and could sell a product for $5 and people would buy it, willingly, why the FOCK would you sell it for $3???

Until the automakers or the guberment makes alternate fuel energy a real and viable option, and/or all US cities have a safe and efficient mass transit system, the gas companies have consumers by the balls. BudBro 182 Posted March 1, 2007 75% of our oil does not come from the persian gulf...i did not know this. most of imports come from canada. link i am a fan of markets, but i hate watching fuel costs rise 30 cents in 7 days.
swamp dog 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Michigan is pretty sweet. 2 months ago gas was $1.80 now it's at $2.55 ah, yes, the good old days--january. i remember the heady stories in the detroit free press about how gasoline prices were going to "plunge" and "stay down" because...well, there just wasn't a darn good reason for them to rise back up? and gas went down, down--and then the oil companies starting pissing themselves and frantically started making up all kinds of excuses to boost them back up: oh, a cold snap in the northeast! a storm in alaska! the iranian president farted! at this rate will see prices well over $3 a gallon again this summer. and really, i wouldn't mind it if the oil fockheads would just come out and say "we charge it because we can" rather than insulting our intelligence with their bald-faced lies.
