JScott Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Hence begins the run on Vikings receivers.......... IMO this is Williamson's make or break season. It's his third in the league, so I expect him to produce. Those expectations are tempered though as the Vikes aren't exactly an explosive offense. There's plenty of competition in camp for TW so that could push him. He had some good games at the beginning of last season then fell off. Hopefully he and TJax build some chemistry. Either way getting an NFL WR1 in the 11th is a nice pickup IMO. If he falls flat, I really didn't spend much to get him; low risk, good potential. 11.02 K Adam Vinatieri, IND A kicker Quote
Da Bomb Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 wow, a kicker. as for minnesota WRs, i dont see anything worth having. although in no hassel, williamson might not be so bad as like a WR5 just because he'll probably have 4 good weeks where he catches a bomb TD and has 75+ yards and a TD. i just dont see him doing much though. in a normal league, hes not the WR i would want from minnesota. i will say that tarvaris throws a great deep ball, and williamson probably dropped at least 6-8 perfectly thrown deep balls last year. thats the difference of 300 yards and 5 TDs, so if williamson actually learned how to catch over the summer, then he could be valuable. Hence my Mr. Magoo reference on the previous page. it will come down to whether he is the #1 wideout on this squad this season, and that is still up in the air. As JScott said though, not much invested at this point. Quote
Dan Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I'll be back . . . I have to step out for a half hour or so. Won't be long. Quote

Da Bomb Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 just offering, but if i am considered an "unbiased" opinion, i could try to come up with a pick for him that i think fits if you'd like. Quote

He only has three running backs so far..... Leon Washington makes sense as the backup to Thomas Jones. Also, he's a Raiders fan and Dominic Rhodes would work well here. What do you guys think? It's been two hours........ Quote

All would fit the bill. I'm leaning towards backing up his #1. Quote
Fumbleweed Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 I like that. Do we have a third person to confirm?? Quote
Vikings4ever Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I agree that RB should be the pick here. Either someone like Rhodes, or a backup to one of his starters. Quote
Da Bomb Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 five people have weighed in and everyone seems to put rhodes near the top. since hes a faiders homer too, id say hes the pick. Quote
remote controller Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 It sounds like we have an easy Rhodes concensus! Quote
Fumbleweed Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 Let's go with Rhodes then. If somebody can post it....I've got to run an errand. Quote

We should have been finished before monday, now I bet we barely make another round. We need to pick for laggarts and make this corner, then role to the next corner. Quote

Da Bomb Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I have been watching, too. I love the majors!!! i'll be watching this weekend. this is my favorite golf event of the year. marks the beginning of summer, theres always some big underdog who is fun to watch, and i love seeing the winner crowned on fathers day. who are yalls picks? my pick going in was luke donald with jim furyk and zach johnson trailing closely. sleeper alert on tim clark and scott verplank. those were my five. Anybody willing to take a list from me? im pretty much around all day so i can do it if youd like. brandon.c.anderson@wheaton.edu Quote

Da Bomb Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I would love to see the Iowa boy get his second major!! you mean joaquin phoenix? lol. i think theres something vaguely compelling about the fact that no one can shoot under par on a particular golf course, or major really. it makes it more appealing to the masses. i mean, i'd think i could go out and shoot a 10 or 15 over and be right there with mickelson and sergio. by the way, thanks for showing up guys. justin rose is in the clubhouse at +2. with the way things are going today, he could end up being the leader heading toward tomorrow. jeez.
