free agents: this will begin after week one of the regular season. requests for free agent players will be processed from worst to first each week. tiebreakers for teams processing claims with the same record will be listed directly below this paragraph. once you get a player, you go to the end of the list for that week. you have until tuesday 8 pm central to get these in. at 10 pm cst tuesday night all players not claimed will be placed on a first-come first-serve basis until kickoff Sunday. all rosters will be locked from kickoff Sunday until tuesday at 10 pm cst. the process resets each week based on team records. this weekly process instead of having free agents available 24/7 is to give everyone a fair chance at getting good players who may not have computer access every day of the week

 

trades: trades will be a 2 day period ( no early exceptions ) and all will be processed unless there is blatant cheating or collusion. trading of draft picks is allowed. all rosters are locked as far as adding or dropping players in the offseason.

the draft order will be determined on descending order of how the teams finished the season and playoffs last season. the top 4 spots will be based upon placement of 1-4 in theofficial playoffs. the last 8 positions will be based upon regular season record.

 

waivers: waivers ( dropped player from a current roster) are a 1 day period and will be based on a descending order. meaning once you get a player from waivers, you go to the end of the line. this is completely separate from the weekly free agent claims and begins in reverse order of this year's draft

 

 

draft/keepers: keepers ( 4 must be chosen ) and they are due by tuesday, august 1st at 8 am. from there we will have a 14 round draft to determine the rest of our team. the draft will be entirely serpentine. the draft will be held here. i felt it would be easier since there will be about 50 players from the start non draftable, and one mistake of someone selecting another team's keeper can wreck the entire draft and it will alleviate the pressure of trying to choose a player and looking to make sure he hasn't been picked in the 2 minute timeframe yahoo allows in their drafts. once the teams are selected, i will load them on our team page on yahoo.

 

there will be a 4 hour time limit per pick with the draft with the draft suspended each evening from 12 cst am until 8 am cst. if you time out during your pick you can be skipped over until the end of the round. once the draft reaches the end of the round if you have not made your pick i will choose a player for you based on xpertsports.com current adp.

 

 

playoffs: top 4 finishers for the regular season will play in week 15 and the 2 winners will play for the championship in week 16. there will also be a 3rd place game in week 16. the next 4 teams who did not will play in a " consolation playoff " in weeks 15 and 16. if 2 are more teams are tied for playoff positions , the following tiebreakers will be used:

 

Overall winning percentage.

Fantasy points scored.

Fantasy points scored in Week 17.

Fantasy points scored in Week 16.

Fantasy points scored in Week 15.

Fantasy points scored in Week 14.

Fantasy points scored in Week 13.

Fantasy points scored in Week 12.

Fantasy points scored in Week 11.

Fantasy points scored in Week 10.

 

if a playoff game ends in a tie the following tiebreakers will be used:

1- Most touchdowns scored by entire starting roster.

2- Most fantasy points by starting quarterback

3-Most fantasy points by starting wide receivers.

4-Most fantasy points by starting running backs.

5-Most fantasy points by starting tight end.

6-Most fantasy points by starting kicker.

7-Random "coin flip".

 

 

i will maintain the league here on this website during the offseason. i will also post a thread in which all members are welcome to discuss opinions, ideas, etc. about the league's rules. a proposed amendment to change a current league rule can only be put to a vote with final approval of the commissioner ( me ).

sure sounds like it cuse, and the unlucky scrub appears to be me. and the team that's actually available is a team NOONE in their right mind is going to want.

this is probably the team that should have been listed as Team B. The 4 keepers would probably be Portis, Cadillac Williams, Randy Moss and either Bulger or Hines Ward. And in this league, where it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to keep a QB considering you have to start a total of 6 RBs/WRs, Bulger wouldnt be a very good keeper. So, Moss and Ward at WR, and Portis and Cadillac Williams?? at RB....no thank you. I had first pick of teams, but there's no way Im going back and even thinking about taking one of you or Smashmouth's teams. So, this would basically be my team, and I can't say Id be real excited about it. In fact, Id probably just say 'thanks, but no thanks' and cut my losses.

Seriously, SOLOMATISSE, you were the first one picked to be in the league. I think if it was an error, then I have no problem with you taking any of the three you want. I don't want that team you posted, but I'd take the one I have or the other one.

Guy's been 'checked in' their for weeks, yet cant declare what his obvious 4 keepers are. Honestly, the only reason I was holding out so long in releasing those 4 keepers myself was because there were 3 other owners who still hadnt done it, and I thought by waiting until the last possible moment, we'd have somewhat of a minimal advantage.

listen, Ive posted a suggestion on the league home about an expansion draft idea. in short, the 3 expansion owners would draw from the remaining group of non-kept players....all 12 teams. Trying to come up with 12 keepers off of those 3 available teams isnt happening. Look it over and let me know if its do-able. its without a doubt the most fair way to load those teams and make it somewhat fair for all 3 of us. I know this draft is set to go down very soon, so one way or the other a decision needs to be made. I wouldnt want this happening if its going to ruffle feathers with the rest of the guys. let me know something.

that's fine. im good with that. I saw that idea as either unanimous or not at all, so Im not gonna make any waves as a newbie. you guys have a good league there, and Im sure you'll get it all together there soon. But Im gonna respectfully back out of this thing. its been a little slow developing, which is perfectly understandable. But I see no chance of contending with a team that has Larry Johnson and LT2, or one with Frank Gore and Reggie Bush, and Chad Johnson and Torry Holt. It would be good to actually compete. No hard feelings, and good luck with the league this year.
