RicemanX 20 Posted July 27, 2007 Been hearing a lot of mehs for it. My friend who is a hardcore simpsons fan thought it was too childish and the plot was lame. The others who saw it with him said it was funny, but still a meh. uh oh.

The others who saw it with him said it was funny, but still a meh. uh oh. It's tough to be a tv show for over 20 years and they create an entire movie. How new and exciting can it be? Now...a Family Guy movie.... That's what I'm talking about!

jets24 6 Posted July 27, 2007 um....http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385690/ umm....you obviously never saw that because you would know that it wasn't so much a movie as a highlight real of Stewie. But thanks for trying.
Rybo5 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Actually I've seen mostly good reviews thus far.
surferskin 30 Posted July 27, 2007 wouldn't you think if they had enough fresh material to make a decent movie the show wouldn't have sucked the past 5 years?
CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 27, 2007 umm....you obviously never saw that because you would know that it wasn't so much a movie as a highlight real of Stewie. But thanks for trying. It was originally suppose to be a movie. But, FG got picked up on fox again, so, they just decided to make it a 4 episode continuation. I heard the simpsons movie was awesome..... Vikings4ever 550 Posted July 27, 2007 Not great, but better than I expected. I went in with low expectations, so maybe that's it. Plenty of laughs, but definately not as good as Simpsons during its peak. One thing that I did notice, that I'd bet very, very few others saw: The ambulance carrying Homer that crashed during Bart the Daredevil (season 2?) at Springfield Gorge is still there. CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 28, 2007 Awfully damn funny flick. I was "teary-eyed" a few times. That is what i have been hearing, really funny quality stuff like the simpsons of old. I would agree with that. You will laugh, but you've laughed harder at classic Simpsons episodes. Considering the expectations and build up from how long we've waited, I'm not sure how much better they could have done. It could definitely have been worse. IndyTom 0 Posted July 28, 2007 Critics love it. It's up to an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/simpsons_movie/

Also, stay for the credits. There's at least 3 or 4 little extras.
Scorpion 0 Posted July 28, 2007 Well, I'm taking my team on Monday. Regardless if the movie sucks, I'm in a win win situation. (Not at work, still getting paid!)
CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 28, 2007 You can always tell when you have a great movie...because the worst reviews are just average or above average. It is pretty crazy how they could continue doing the show(though, the quality lately has been down) and make a full length movie at the same time and have it not suck. Well, actually, South Park did it, but, a lot of people thought it sucked but i thought it was hilarious....
surferskin 30 Posted July 28, 2007 ......it has sucked for 5 years and yet you have watched. nope, actually i haven't. i've caught a stray episode every now and again but when the quality went down hill, i was out like shout.

CantTouchThis 23 Posted August 2, 2007 I saw it...................... I was actually slightly disappointed. It was good, plenty of laughs throughout. However, there weren't really any parts that made me really crack up, a couple came close. It's not as funny as the Simpsons in it's prime, every episode made me crack the fock up. It is still a good movie and every Simpson's fan should see it......
