Been hearing a lot of mehs for it.

My friend who is a hardcore simpsons fan thought it was too childish and the plot was lame.

The others who saw it with him said it was funny, but still a meh.

uh oh.

It's tough to be a tv show for over 20 years and they create an entire movie. How new and exciting can it be? Now...a Family Guy movie....

That's what I'm talking about! :overhead:

wouldn't you think if they had enough fresh material to make a decent movie the show wouldn't have sucked the past 5 years?

umm....you obviously never saw that because you would know that it wasn't so much a movie as a highlight real of Stewie. But thanks for trying.

It was originally suppose to be a movie. But, FG got picked up on fox again, so, they just decided to make it a 4 episode continuation.

I heard the simpsons movie was awesome.....

Not great, but better than I expected.

I went in with low expectations, so maybe that's it.

Plenty of laughs, but definately not as good as Simpsons during its peak.

One thing that I did notice, that I'd bet very, very few others saw: The ambulance carrying Homer that crashed during Bart the Daredevil (season 2?) at Springfield Gorge is still there.

I would agree with that. You will laugh, but you've laughed harder at classic Simpsons episodes. Considering the expectations and build up from how long we've waited, I'm not sure how much better they could have done. It could definitely have been worse.

Also, stay for the credits. There's at least 3 or 4 little extras.

Well, I'm taking my team on Monday. Regardless if the movie sucks, I'm in a win win situation. (Not at work, still getting paid!)

You can always tell when you have a great movie...because the worst reviews are just average or above average. It is pretty crazy how they could continue doing the show(though, the quality lately has been down) and make a full length movie at the same time and have it not suck. Well, actually, South Park did it, but, a lot of people thought it sucked but i thought it was hilarious....

I saw it......................

I was actually slightly disappointed. It was good, plenty of laughs throughout. However, there weren't really any parts that made me really crack up, a couple came close. It's not as funny as the Simpsons in it's prime, every episode made me crack the fock up. It is still a good movie and every Simpson's fan should see it......
