Bert 1,128 Posted August 2, 2007 Yes Major league baseball player. The minimum salary for the 2006 season is $380,000. Plus unlike golfers that's all yours. Golfers have to pay for travel, hotels, meals, 10% to their caddy. Golfers also have to make (or hire someone) to make travel arrangements, sign up for touraments, etc. That utility infielder or long reliever has it made. edjr 6,580 Posted August 2, 2007 Thats why I said the catcher in the bullpen! Geez, I get to sit here and watch the game, then go warm somebody up? I agree that would be a sweet gig, but golfers get to pick their own schedule, they can take off weeks at a time whenever they want, they get the winter off. bullpen catcher has to be there everyday, never gets time off, has to work the entire summer. also, bullpen catches can't get a sponsor, they can't get lucky that one week and make a million bucks. what does a bullpen catcher make? 100k? edjr 6,580 Posted August 2, 2007 also, for those of us that love playing golf, you get to play golf AND make money. can't top that.

edjr 6,580 Posted August 2, 2007 100k/yr still good enough to get you a nice BMW and a great house. what? you don't think they need to eat? or have no bills? I just found this too. Bullpen catchers are paid $12,000 for a season, which is $2,000 per month. Their air and hotel expenses are also paid for and they receive $50/day per diem for food and clubhouse dues. If their team makes the post season, bullpen catchers will also receive a very small bonus based on what the team members vote them when the players divey up the post season revenue. as a golfer you can make that in one week, you can get better as a golfer and make more money. can I bullpen catcher get better and make more? I'm pretty sure they have to be in a building most of their day, dealing with idiot patients, or idiot employees, or idiot actors. It's not relative at all. if there are 200 high paid actors, why are the same 30 in every movie? the only one that is even close would be modeling, all you have to do is be born tall and semi pretty, be anorexic and show up for work. Ive seen the salaries for some NBA scrubs and they are amazing. but then again, they have to show up for every game, they have to work their asses of in practice, they get no vacation unless it's off season. you for the most part at least have to be tall to be a stiff in the nba, you can be 5'4 and be a pro golfer. paulinstl 296 Posted August 2, 2007 Who the fock said it was easy? jesus people are stupid. The question was IS THERE A BETTER PROFESSION? where the fock does it say it's EASY???????????????????? idiot Yeah there are. Pro golfers have to work hours on end. Yes they get to earn their keep at resorts and parks and enjoy beautiful weather most of the time, but they have to travel about 48 weeks a year, practice for hours and ar enever assured of even cashing a check each week. I'm sure being the 200th best Plastic Surgeon would be a better gig. You could limit your practice to hot chicks only, work one day a week, and still clear 200 large a year. :sunno:

I get what you're saying, but for ME. Being on the PGA tour would be the best job.

wiffleball 4,790 Posted August 2, 2007 One job that's definitely up there is NFL Long Snapper. Probably the most underrated job in the world. The average - mind you - AVERAGE salary is over $650,000 a year. The niner's LS signed for six-year deal worth approximately $4.86 million. That included a $1.1 million signing bonus. - And that was a few years ago! And the only plays they participate in are punts, field goals and extra points. All tolled, these guy might see around ten total minutes of actual field time a year. 10 minutes work for around a million bucks a year. Not a bad deal at all.
