We're already called the _____'s by all of our friends. Although, with me maybe inheriting my G-pa's business I may need to keep my last name or hypen it for business reasons.

they are actually many many many cultures that do a combination of last names or couples can choose either name when marrying. is your gf's sister spanish? because it's pretty traditional to have a combination of the mother and father's family names. and in some asian cultures, if there is no male heir in a family, the husband takes the wife's family name to perserve it. so there.
