I'm bored at work today. Anyone have any car questions?

What would the correct ignition timing be on a 1955 Bel Air Chevrolet, with a 327 cubic-inch engine and a four-barrel carburetor?

The 55 Bel Air Chevy didn't have a four-barrel carburetor and this only came out a few years later :first:

Why Google it? It's from My Cousin Vinny. :music_guitarred:

"Chevy didn't make a 327 in '55, the 327 didn't come out till '62. And it wasn't offered in the Bel Air with a four-barrel carb till '64. However, in 1964, the correct ignition timing would be four degrees before top-dead-center. "

Synopsis of the thread thus far.

1) Sux forgets to log in under his main account, asks for car questions.

2) Scary Gary asks trick car question.

3) Sux answers question correctly.

4) Scary Gary get's pissy because his trick question has been revealed.

5) IndyTom reveals that the trick question was not all that original, having been appropriated from the movie: My Cousin Vinny.

6) Akaoni pointlessly summarizes a short and easily readable thread.
