Ryedog 0 Posted September 21, 2007 I looked up Tool in the dictionary this morning and it confirmed everything. Definition: TOOL- An overhyped, injury prone, gimpy legged fellow who plays QB for the Philadelphia Eagles who sometimes goes on HBO and runs his mouth about the way certain QB's are treated. Other Definitions: A Syracuse Grad who likes to eat chunky soup and never win the big game. Oh Yeah, and........ McNabb is a tool.
donhaas 18 Posted September 21, 2007 en·dure (ĕn-dur', -dyur') v., -dured, -dur·ing, -dures. v.tr. 1. To talk non-stop off-season smack about Millen being a 'draft guru' and then completely disappearing when the team goes south sometime in early November 2. To tuck in one's son when times get tough 3. To welch on a bet regarding the Detroit Lions (2 months for donhaas; 1 month for Dr. J) 4. To repeatedly act like you have somebody on ignore, and then accidently quote them in the wrong thread. [Middle English enduren, from Old French endurer, from Latin indūrāre, to make hard : in-, against, into; see en–1 + dūrus, hard.]

kwhiz73 0 Posted September 21, 2007 The Lions have not won 2 games in a row in 47 years... Why can't you let them have their fun? I copied from an earlier post cause I didn't feel like typing it again. So... now do we start the "Lion's haven't won anything in 50 years?" Then Swamp, donhaus, shonuff start debating about Green Bay and their dynasty vs the Lion's hapless franchise. Sweetness chimes in with his homer bearisms--miscellaneous new and old members alike take sides and another NFC power rating debate begins. Fact of the matter is the Lions are 2-0. They've looked better on both sides of the ball than they have in years, the media is starting to get hyped up about them, and they've managed to revive a bit of optimism among their fans for the first time in 3 or 4 years. For once we are not hearing fire Millen chants, listening to draft day ridicules, or hearing about how our QB seems to be the "chocolate and strawberry" type. Let us enjoy our 2-0. We know deep down that we are primed to take a huge step backwards against a Philly team that seems to resemble us in the recent past as opposed to one of the class teams in the NFC. For those of us that have been Lion's fans since Danielson and Dexter Bussey we've been in this position before--only to have our hopes crushed on Sunday. This year things may be a bit different.....is it possible the Lion's are becoming a team to be reckoned with in the NFC?.. a team that other teams would rather not play when they need a win?.....a team that replaced an internal group of losers with players hungry to overachieve and gain respect?...could be. The fact that there's still a chance in 2007 is fine with me 6-10 is better than 3-13...and so far Kitna hasn't done anything to make me think he's wrong about winning 10 games. scherber830 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Are we in some bizzaro-world where the fans of a team led by John Kitna are ridiculing Donovan McNabb? Yep. Bizzarro World. Donovan McNabb is getting ridiculed based on his use of controversial comments as a defense (i.e. excuse) for hs stinky play of late. We are ripping him because instead of being man enough to say, "I have to play better" he says "oh, well people are only saying I'm playing bad because I'm black and we have to play extra good to get props." By somehow suggesting that Lion's fans don't have a right to have a say just because their QB is Jon Kitna, who puts up numbers and keeps a top passing offense moving, you sound foolish. Kitna is not neccessarily better than McNabb, but.... McNabb is a tool! Lions easily 3-0.

Just so you know, McNabb's comments were made six weeks ago. The show just happened to air this week. Also, I have no problem letting you have your fun, Detroit's good years come about as often as Philadelphia's bad ones. Enjoy!

plasma george 62 Posted September 23, 2007 These are the games that are easy to see the end....just like 0-2 Michigan against 2-0 Penn State. Detroit wil come in flat, with no particular urgency, Eagles/McNabb/Reid have the whole Season on the line, and basically the CITY. If there's ever a time Reid will have the perfect gameplan, it will be Sunday. If there's ever a time for McNabb to return to gunslinger form, it will be Sunday. If there's ever a need for a lame duck to come into the Linc, it's the mighty Detroit Lions. The poor Lions are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, they will be out played and outcoached, it's easy to see.
