For those wondering about Mr. Leonard...

Recommended Posts

If SJax can't do it with this O-Line, what makes you think Leonard will do any better ?

He's got a point.......

that's why I'm trading him to the SJax owner

Well first of all, they aren't gonna stack the box against him like they do Jackson. Also, as a Rams fan and Jackson owner, I have watched all the games. It seems to me that Jackson is trying way to hard. This may be the best thing for Jackson. Give him a chance to rest for a few weeks & try to relax. Jackson was so worried about not being a one hit wonder. I think it was also stupid of the Rams not to give Jackson any pre-seaon reps.

I would love to be able to get him and start him with Curtis next week. Has anyone ever had 5 white starters in their line-up? If he doesn't perform, I'd just have to renege :(

WOW!!! That is all I can say about that one...

Because Leonard has wings! He'll just jump over any defenders in his way :overhead:

Wow - in the pinned thread, I said I wouldn't pick him up because he's white. He doesn't play white, though.

By the way, that "leap" used to be illegal in college.

If he tries to many of those "leaps" in the nfl, SJ wont be the only one on the sideline holding his groin

glad im a rutgers homer... i drafted him late in my 12 team league just because i wanted a rutgers guy on the team. now im offering him as trade bait, striking while the iron is hot. im TRYING to get reggie wayne for him, but that is a reach. tho it helps me that the sjax's owner's only other RB is benson.... and that he is a rutgers fan too :-)

what do you think is a good trade value for leonard... in terms of what kind of WR should I be targeting (ppr league)

In a PPR I would keep Leonard. Look the best case is a few weeks for Jackson. If he re-injures his groin, that will be the season for him. Leonard was the best pass catching RB in the draft...

true... but I think in my situation I should trade him. I have Addai, Henry and Thomas Jones at RB.... My WRs are Santana Moss, Brendan Marshall, and Andre Johnson (out for a few weeks). So I could really use a top WR.

I'm going to have to see his white-men membership card... No way can he be white after watching that video: Everyone knows white men can't jump.

I've got a high waiver priority and a good shot at him; but as a previous poster mentioned already, Jackson's a stud and he hasn't been lighting it up this year... and they lost another lineman Sunday. This offense just isn't clicking.

The guy was a 2nd round pick. 2nd round in the NFL is like being a lottery pick in the NBA. Add this to the fact that a team who already had a top 3 RB drafted him, I think he could do a little something something...

I'm leary of anyone who loses his starting job to a junior at Rutgers.

Ray Rice is a Heisman canidate. Leonard as a team leader volunteered to move to fullback for the best interest of the team. Rice is a tremendous talent and having them both on the field was a big part of why Rutgers was so successful last year.

I'm not even sure what this means. I'm going to ASSUME you are referring to Ray Rice and Leonard losing his job to him as a senior. Which, if you are, please stop talking before you forfeit all college football IQ points. Rice is one of the top 5 backs in college football, a real Heisman candidate, and a future first rounder in the NFL. There is no shame in Leonard being converted to FB because Rice showed up on campus.

If you're the second best running back at Rutgers, I doubt you're going to make much of an impact in the NFL.

Exactly. Just like the 3rd string running back at UNC couldn't possibly be tearing up the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers...

Actually, I'll be owned when Leonard proves to be a quality NFL back. Until then, the jury will be out.

Very overlooked in the draft this year. I think Kiper was the only one that liked him.

Going to be funny seeing a white RB out there & a Rutgers one at that ( :shocking: )

I think he will do well as long as he keeps the leaps to a min...that will get him clocked.

I'm sure you are just stirring the pot, but wait until you see the impact Ray Rice makes in the NFL.

Nope, you've already been owned. B Leonard's succes in the NFL has nothing to do with these posts:

That you discount him because of these facts without giving any other evidence or reasons means you've already been owned because the basis for these judgements have already been shot-down.

He may be a flop beacuse he's too slow, too fat, too short, etc...but you haven't given those reasons. Your reasons have no credibility.

Perhaps I've deducted that he lost his job at Rutgers for one of those reasons. Therefore, until he succeeds at the pro level, no one's been owned.

If he's on the streets in two years, you will have been owned in a big way.

I'm just glad that Jackson's subpar start to the season (and my other underacheivers) has me in last place, so I know I get to pick up Leonard this week. I think...

He doesn't look like he's that type of an athlete. But he is. He is, man. I don't know if some brother down in that line somewhere, I don't know who saw what or where, his great-great-great-great-grandma ran over in the 'hood or something went down.

If great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandma pulled one of them studs up out of the barn, 'Come on in here for a second,' you know, and they go out and work in the yard. You know, back in the day.
