Its not that i don't want a comitted relationship with her its just that this seems to have gone very fast. i am madly in love with her but I just don't want to talk about the M word for a little while. She just signed a lease in October (I own a condo) so we are'nt moving in together anytime soon either. But for all practical purposes we are living together as we live a couple of blocks from each other and rarely spend a night apart.

Every race puts labels to make it easy. White people have just as a diverse ancestry as any other grouping (black, asian, latino, etc) so to generalize white people as unable to perceive non-european ancestry simply proves once again the double standard that minorities place on importance of race/ancestry/"culture".

 

What makes me (perceived as being) white is my skin color and nothing else. But if I have black parents (adoption), grow up in a black neighborhood, attend a black college and believe that OJ is innocent, does that make me somehow "less white"?

Nooo, my parents want to get an interest only loan, take that money and invest it. Business goes bad so what do they do? Since our house was worth 450, they decided to refinance for that amount. Took a few more minor loans to try to save the business. No we owe about 500k with a house that has dropped to about 450.

Thanks for the condolences. She left me(I did not want the divorce at all) just over a year ago and the divorce has been final for about 6 months. I have a son with her who is 8. I spent his entire life home with him as the at home parent. Now, I only see him for about a day and a half a week, Friday night and Saturday night(Which I'm sure works out perfect for her). She gets him at 10 a.m on Sundays. I'm miserable.

Yea i missed a lot of the action and it seems like a lot of people took issue with my statement. You guys won't believe me no matter what i say. Its part of the disconnect. We look at white people as oblivious to their racism in a lot of ways, i'm not even sure if racism is the right word because of that. White people are convinced everyone has an equal opportunity and there isn't any discrimination.

As far as my house goes, I bought my house when I was 22, 14 years ago. I got a USDA loan for my house. It is like a farmers home loan, not for farmers though. Anyway, they base my payment on my income. Since I have no income, I applied and received a moratorium on my house, which means I don't have to pay my house payment right now. I also receive food stamps for food. I was found disabled by the state and get Medicaid for health insurance.

 

I am waiting on disability money at the moment.
