jeffkomlo 19 Posted October 12, 2007 Trade 1 12 team keeper Give B. Marshall and Graham for H. Ward and K. Jones Trade 2 12 team nonkeeper Give Welker and Rivers for Steve Smith (have Hass and Eli Manning) Thoughts?
LT Baby 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Yes & Yes #1KJ has good upside in a keeper plus Jaccobs continues to be injury prone Ward will have good value. Graham = Alstot, & Marshall is a good young WR but there are many of those #2 with your other QBs Rivers wont many starts if any so get a Top starting WR for a #3-5 wr and A QB you wont be playing
jared7683 0 Posted October 12, 2007 i agree...pull the trigger on this one.. see mine, thx http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=295448
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Thank you for mine I'm not sure about the first one, can Ward stay healthy? Marshall has been ok and kevin jones is good in name only, if he does get the start then thats good but graham could be pretty good if he keeps the job. Ward being healthy is the key in this one. The 2nd trade is a steal most years however ya have to wonder with maybe Vinny throwing him the ball? But you arent losing much in the QB spot so that one I would do for sure. Good luck Peace... zman2279 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I would definitely do the 2nd, the 1st iffy. But if you can get smith by all means do it.
mhaggy 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I like both trades. Marshall has a lot of upside in keeper leagues, but Hines is annually a top-15 WR and Cutler has looked really shaky lately. Hines is saying that he's gonna be back this week. EGraham is just useless and doesn't scare anyone. KJ is just icing on the cake and has the potential for a lot of upside catching balls out of the backfield for PPR leagues and getting a TD here and there. Plus, the Lions have been running the ball more than usual the last couple weeks. A lot of people were saying that KJ's career was over coming into this year and he is producing, albeit in a limited role. Don't count this guy out. I presume this is the Carolina Steve Smith and not the NYG Steve Smith? Definitely pull the trigger on this one. Hass had a shitty game last week, but has been playing better overall than Rivers and has been more consistent. Rivers has been up and down every single week (mostly down) and gets a few TD passes leeched by LT every year. I was really, really high on Rivers coming into this year as a great value, late-round QB option and he has really really disappointed me lately (spot started Jason Campbell last week and then picked Derek Anderson off the WW and dropped Rivers). Wes Welker will be this year's Mike Furrey, but Steve Smith is a stud.
jakeman24 0 Posted October 13, 2007 Both trades are significant upgrades. Steve Smith will always be a factor. They will find ways to get him the ball. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=295474
Snotpipes 0 Posted October 13, 2007 #1 - Sure #2 - YES! Smith will get his share before the year's out, no matter who's throwing him the ball. Thanks for mine.
SaintsInDome2006 651 Posted October 13, 2007 On both of these, I'm not sure about your roster but I'm guessing they make sense from that angle. 1. The key here is that this a keeper league. Graham is a non-factor, I think. So you get Ward and KJ for Marshall, which sounds good. The only caveat here is what you are trying to do this year. If you are trying to win this year in addition to just seeing who has best long time value I think Marshall makes the most sense. This one also depends on your other RB's; if Graham is your starter and you have surplus WR's I would think do it because KJ is an upgrade there and you would have to settle that out. 2. Yes, definitely. Only thing of course is will Vinny or the Carr or Matt Moore be throwing wounded ducks all over the place. But I saw the Panthers last week and SS got open anyway for a TD. Do that one. Thanks for answering mine.
