SaintsInDome2006 663 Posted October 13, 2007 I've been trying to lure another owner into trading P. Manning to me. He also has Romo and D. Anderson. The current offer is Manning for Ronnie Brown I had a surplus of RB's so I have been trying to even things out on the roster. I started out offering R. Brown, which at one point was no good; but now that's good enough so he has re-offered that. However now I'm thinking that Brown is looking like what I had hoped, a strong RB in Cam's built-for-LT system. Just in case I also drafted LJ, Henry and Benson. seemed like a good plan, get 2 strong RB's, and it's worked pretty good, I'm 4-1. LJ + one other player was once offered by the other team last week which I turned down because it looked like Henry was going to be suspended asap. But now Henry's sticking around for awhile. i also thought of Benson for D. Anderson, but I'm not sure he's any better than Warner long term. I'd like to stick with 2 good RB's; and I think I need a good QB because McNabb has stunk 3 out of 4 weeks. I think Warner will be good but won't last. Anybody have any ideas how I can swing this trade for P. Manning in a way that keeps the plan together? 10 team league; standard scoring +05.PPR; start 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1DST My Team D McNabb K Warner S Young C Benson L Johnson T Henry R Brown B Edwards D' Stallworth L Coles C Chambers D Clark J Witten N Folk D Bears Other Team T Romo P Manning D Anderson M Pittman M Barber L Maroney C Brown V Jackson T Owens B Berrian A Boldin S Moss C Cooley R Gould

mrgymrat 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I don't think having Manning on your team makes you better because of what you would have to give up to get him. Your QB's are servicable enough and to have to rely on Henry (suspension coming), LJ (no o-line) & Cedric Benson (who has run the ball as well as Cedric the Entertainer) is begging for trouble. Your team is better w/o Peyton.
Fran Sharkenton 0 Posted October 13, 2007 What about McNabb/Brown for Manning/Barber ? You'll be set at QB and still have LJ ( his schedule is getting easier) and the Denver RB's. Not sure how many at each position you play each week. Or the Denver RB's for Manning & Maroney (as a throw-in, he hasn;t done much so far) ?

cchurchill75 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I wouldn't give up Brown for Manning. Play the matchups with your QB's and you should be fine.
