kac1 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I am in a league that favors QB's because of the scoring system. We also start two QB's each week and the two I have on my roster are McNabb and Rivers. I am looking to trade for a better QB than Rivers. I have my choice of Garcia, Anderson, or Cutler. The guy wants either Bowe or V.Jackson and Barber III for my choice of QB. Who out of that list should I choose and are either of those QB's worth what he wants in return? Completions (1) Passing Yards (20 yards per point; 3 points at 300 yards; 5 points at 400 yards) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-1) Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 3 points at 150 yards; 5 points at 200 yards; 10 points at 250 yards) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Receptions (1) Reception Yards (15 yards per point; 2 points at 100 yards; 4 points at 150 yards; 6 points at 200 yards) Reception Touchdowns (6) Return Touchdowns (6) 2-Point Conversions (2) Fumbles Lost (-2) Offensive Fumble Return TD (6) Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3) Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3) Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3) Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4) Field Goals 50+ Yards (5) Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards (-2) Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards (-1) Point After Attempt Made (1) Sack (1) Interception (2) Fumble Recovery (2) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Block Kick (2) Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6) Points Allowed 0 points (13) Points Allowed 1-6 points (9) Points Allowed 7-13 points (4) Points Allowed 14-20 points (1) Points Allowed 21-27 points (0) Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1) Points Allowed 35+ points (-4)
Stewburtx8 67 Posted October 23, 2007 I'd have to see the rest of your roster and what your RB and WR depth are, but in general NONE of those QB's are worth Marion Barber and a WR.
kac1 0 Posted October 23, 2007 QB: (start 2) McNabb, Rivers, Warner RB: Addai, Parker, Barber, B.Jacobs WR: Roy Williams, V.Jackson, Edwards, Holmes, Bowe TE: Witten, Des. Clark K: Folk DEF: (start 2) Arizona, Minnesota, Tennessee
Eaglephan 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Jackson is more expendable with Chambers in the mix now, but those QBs aren't too inspiring. I'm starting Anderson this week, as a bye fill-in, and think he's a solid FF QB b/c the Browns throw a lot and he's got Winslow/Edwards, but could also lose his job any day to Quinn, so there's considerable risk. dutch24 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Anderson for Jackson and Barber would be my preference, but as you suggested to me, I would stay put. No way any of those QB's are worth Barber alone let alone Barber and Bowe or Jackson.
Dakkon79 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I would have to go with Jackson/Barber for Anderson. This guy has been a beast so far. You league rewards big for QBs and Anderson should help you. Help me: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297508
Springer 0 Posted October 23, 2007 you can't go wrong with any of the choices, im just partial to anderson or garcia.
whiteknight 0 Posted October 23, 2007 not knowing your whole roster, I would go with anderson (he is on fire with edwards), I would give him jackson and MBIII. I tihnk bowe will get more touches than jackson.. please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297670 thanks
Slim Pickins 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I would have to go with Jackson/Barber for Anderson. This guy has been a beast so far. You league rewards big for QBs and Anderson should help you.Help me: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297508 I would have to agree. There is some considerable risk with this, however, as Quinn is waiting but I think the Browns will allow Andersen to play until he starts to turn the ball over. Plus, their D sucks so they will always be playing from behind, a la Bengals. With 6pts/TD and the advantage in yardage all other positions are second rate. Trade V. Jackson and Barber III for Andersen. Vincent is a decoy and you don't need Barber for anything other than depth. And if you're concerned, take a flyer on Quinn "just in case." Thanks for answering mine earlier.
CookieG 4 Posted October 23, 2007 Do not trade away MBIII. it's not like you're getting Carson Palmer back in the deal. With what he's offering Jacobs, or one of your less preferred backs might do. VJax is no better than ww fodder. he'd be the one i'd incld. first. Bowe has shown flashes, but he's nothing great with the KC O and Gonzo getting hot. You're in the catbird seat with your good quality depth at RB.. even with weighing QBs a little more. All of those QBs have some issues, but clearly Anderson will give you quick upside versus the others..and i'd target him without giving up too much. If this guy balks at Jacobs, go to another owner and look for better options at QB. Must be tough with the starting 2 thing.
kac1 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Yeah its really tough starting two QB's..there is nothing left on the WW to use.
yankmccobb 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I'm not sure I do this trade. I think Rivers and the Chargers are starting to find their groove and I just can't believe that McNabb will struggle this way all year.....he has always been very productive.
kac1 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Normally I would stay put but I am 3-4 in my league and am starting to worry.

ffsmack 0 Posted October 23, 2007 If anyone, I'd go for Anderson(gotta give him credit, he's been great in FF), but I also think MBIII is giving up too much. Thanks for mine
Blue Balls 0 Posted October 23, 2007 thanks for the reply. i wouldnt trade MBIII for any of those QB's. But, if you must, let Jackson go. Good luck!

I'd stay put. The Chargers offense is looking better and better and with Chambers in the lineup, things should open up even more. I don't think any of those QB's are a long term improvement over Rivers.
epinindy 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I would stay put. I think Rivers will get better and better as the season goes along. I like Anderson but I think once the Browns are out of the playoff race Quinn will get in there. Honestly going forward, I think you're better off with what you have rather than what you would get. ppierce 2 Posted October 24, 2007 i don't think id give up Barber for a QB that doesn't have a guaranteed job. I'd probably go get Cutler but still don't think giving up Barber is worth it.
BNJ 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I'd try to trade Jacobs and Jackson. I wouldn't give up Barber even with J. Jones getting stronger. I like anderson, but not at the cost of MBIII. Mine please: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297823
