Patriotica 5 Posted October 25, 2007 Bulger has been an FA for a few weeks and with Garrard going down I am looking at Marc as a backup for Cutler. Somewhere in a thread way below someone mentioned that the St. Looey receivers are all banged up. I am not a Ram homer and was hoping to get a report as to how healthy Bulger's receiving crew will be in a few weeks. And it is looking like Steven Jackson will be playing on Sunday, too. Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted October 25, 2007 No in my league but the guy who drafted him isn't wanting to throw in the towel yet on him. Unless SJax comes back and shows some magic, I don't see Bulger being an asset this year.
BigDaddy1978 0 Posted October 25, 2007 The problem in St. Louis isn't the receivers, it's the offensive line, and (despite what Bulger says) the fact that he's playing with busted ribs. Orlando Pace was their only lineman who was worth his contract, and he's out for the season. The rest of them are ######. Bulger can't be sacked 7 times in a game, with no running game to speak of and still be expected to produce with the ball. Personally, I'm hoping that the bye week will give them some time to rest up and maybe come back and offer something, but that in itself is going to be a long shot. Still it's hard to pass up on him given what he did last year, so if you're lacking at the QB spot, I say take him.

6 Million Dollar Faulk 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I own Bulger and unfortunately have to start him this week, although if there is ANY week to consider starting him I suppose it's this week. Browns are ranked 30th in the NFL with 6 sacks and 29th in pass D. With my luck he won't even make it through the game, my luck with QB's this year has been horrendous. Bulger: Was terrible even before injury, Alex Smith: Again terrible even before injury & David Garrard: Was definitely serviceable but of course is injured now. My only other options on the WW are Cleo Lemon & Trent Edwards so I guess I'll roll with Bulger this week.
A Dido Brother 0 Posted October 25, 2007 He was finally dropped last week....for a bye week TE. He's still there, nobody wants to touch him.
J.E.T.S.JetsJetsJets 0 Posted October 25, 2007 He's not on my waiver wire, but if he craps the bed again THIS week with THIS matchup, he will be off my bench and onto the heap and I'll pick up an extra kicker. I do think Manning, Brady or Palmer would be hard presses to perform behind that O-Line w. no RB. That's why I'll watch & see how he does w. SJax back. if he gets 300 a pair of TDs and less than 2 turnovers I might stash him through the bye. If he can turn it around Sun. the schedule after the bye looks real nice (NO, SF, Sea, Atl, Cin) It'l be tough though with the bye weeks finishing up there may be some FA fliers I'd rather take, but that's the current plan. Patriotica 5 Posted October 25, 2007 If an owner rejects a Chad Johnson for Romo deal then I'll pick up Bulger as my backup. (The other owner refused Addai for Romo and mentioned CJ so here'e hoping).
PunkRockRedneck 8 Posted October 25, 2007 Bulger was available for about 10 minutes on our waiver wire when i picked him up. I'll probably never use him this year since I have Anderson and Griese, but I can keep him for a 10th round pick next year since he was a FA pick up. I think that's worth the roster spot. lol

Since StL will obviously need (desperately) to address the OLine and avoid the David Carr syndrome happening to Bulger McRib, I'd say an FA pickup = 10th round Gold (although I don't know Holt's FA status still shouldn't matter much)
