dojo_commish 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I get: Big Ben Maroney Gates Santonio Holmes/Jennings/or Driver - My pick I give up: Hasslebeck Jacobs Winslow II Reggie Brown I have been going back and forth on this, as to whether I do it or not. I have no clue on Maroney, and supposedly Hasslebeck is going to throw more now with Shaun all dinged up. Love to hear some thoughts. My Current Lineup: Hasslebeck Jacobs Watson/Julius Jones Housh Reggie Brown/Calvin Johnson Winslow **not great. Thanks!
lv_2_hack 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Hmm, that's tough. At first I liked it, b/c jennings or holmes would help you out, but i'm going to say no. Hasselback is going to start slinging it, jacobs is better than marony and gates is better than winslow. While it's fair and you have to think about it, i'm going to say no. mrgymrat 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Not a bad trade for you, you only lose out on the Jacobs vs Maroney part of the deal (and both of them are an injury waiting to happen). I'd go with Holmes and you come out way ahead on that part of the deal. Do it.
dojo_commish 0 Posted November 9, 2007 The nice part of the deal is that it solves my WR2 spot with Santonio. The bad obviously is Maroney vs. Jacobs.....
jne812 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I agree with the above, most of the players are close to even trades. Ben and Hass are both hot. Holmes has played great for me this year, and Gates seems to be heating up, and the better player depends on the week. Will the upgrade of Holmes and Gates offset the loss of Jacobs? Your other RB's are hard to judge from week to week, especially with Rudi coming back someday. But considering what your options are at WR I think you should probably make this move. Overall It will help you out . While difficult I think I would do it. Overall it looks like a team upgrade, but you'll want to keep an eye on your RB Situation in the coming weeks. Take a look at mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=300955
KingPrawn 4 Posted November 9, 2007 Very tough call. I'd probably stand pat though. I give a slight edge to Hass over Big Ben. Jacobs is better than Maroney. Gates is better than Winslow. You would improve your WRs. Whatever way you decide to go you probably couldn't go wrong.
shamrock_94 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I would have to say no, your RBs would be a mess Watson, Julius Jones, and Maroney? ugh! Can you get another RB in the deal? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=300995
Patrick977 0 Posted November 9, 2007 While getting Gates and Jennings would be an attractive offer (along with Big Ben), I think you have to turn this down. Winslow is a solid TE in his own right and Calvin Johnson is the most consistent Detroit receiver. Your RBs are taking too big of a hit if you get rid of Jacobs. Thanks for mine! Tacks 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Wouldn't do this trade. Hasselbeck and Big Ben are a wash. Gates is slightly better than Winslow but you give up too much in Jacobs. Maroney flat out sucks. All the points the Pats have scored and he hasn't done d*ck!!! Don't do it. You could probably search the FA market for a better WR than Reggie Brown. thanks for mine
Patriots86 0 Posted November 9, 2007 stay put. Hass is going to put up some nice points from here on out. Cleavland offense has really been clicking and Winslow has been money. Driver hasnt put up good numbers. Farve spreads the ball around too much so neither Jennings or Driver would be good options. Stay put Thanks for answering mine. discmonkey 0 Posted November 9, 2007 It seems like a wash. No significant upgrades or downgrades. A little better here, a little worse there. What is it that your oppenent really wants out of this trade? Does he/she need a QB or more depth at RB? Will they be getting more of an upgrade than you will? Maybe I'm a freak, but I always want to put the pressure back on the other person to make the hard decision. You're not really losing anything by not taking the trade, so who cares? Counter with something that will make them have to post in this forum. Make them sweat a little bit. If they turn it down, you don't lose anything. If they accept, you win. If they counter with something that's a little better than this trade, you still win. Thanks for mine!
PudgeDawg 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I have Maroney and you DO NOT WANT THIS NIGHTMARE! Rivers is regressing and contrary to popular opinion Gates is not THAT MUCH of an upgrade over Winslow(once defenses start paying more attention to Edwards he will get MORE looks) I agree with Hass being more consistent down the stretch than Big Ben(getting coooollld in Pittsburgh, running time),plus all of his playmakers are headed back. stick with what you got. thanks for mine
