Ah, yes, breaking out the whiner smack. I mean Steeler fans didn't whine about the Pats this year did they! Pot meets kettle :music_guitarred:

Oh yah, and something as relevant as blatant and admitted cheating systematically over a period of years that was happening RIGHT FREAKING THEN obviously deserves a back page spot to the ongoing conspiracy of the NFL to shortchange the Seahawks and their deluded fans...:overhead:...whatever. I'm fairly sure it was more than just Steeler's fans whining about the Pats and their cheating that, AGAIN, came to light this year. So what's your excuse for 3 years of bitching, whining and moaning...extended PMS???

Never mentioned conspiracy, ever. I simply called out the league for backing up and accepting incompetent refs and you sheeple went right along goose-stepping and towing the official NFL line because it served your purpose. Now your purpose is not served so you demand credibility from the same organization that has basically never been credible (yes even going back to your beloved jerome bettis and the coin flip). Nice flip flop though  Continue...

Um, not sure where you even come by the idea that the Steelers are not a credible organization given that their currently owner and the previous one have possibly done more for the league in general and small market teams in particular than any other organization. Also not sure where I've goose-stepped or toed any nfl line about referees, in fact, I've acknowledged all along that some of those calls were incorrect. However, I've also stated that you (and most other Seahawks fans) overstate the importance of those calls and contend that even if they were corrected, there is absolutely no freakin way any sane and introspective person could make the leap to the Seahawks winning that game because none of them directly influenced the outcome or decided the game. As a Steelers fan I have more right to complain over the blatant non-holding call against Jacksonville last year in the playoffs which DID directly affect the outcome of the game. In fact, if I were a Seahawk-type fan I WOULD in fact allege that the missed call vs Jacksonville, and the two admitted illegal tapings by the Pats in two AFC Championship games vs the Steelers WOULD have resulted in the Steelers possessing 3 more Lombardi trophies than they currently do. However, as a Steelers fan I'm much more realistic, grounded and definitely less delusional than typical Seahawk fan frequenting this board. HTH.

1- I never said the Steelers weren't credible. Don't know where you got that.

2- Once again you miss the point. It doesn't matter whether the Seahawks would have won or not. The incompetent officials DENIED THEM THE CHANCE!

3- So a nonholding call against the Steelers DID impact their game but a phantom call against Seattle in the SB DID NOT impact that game?

Yeah you' re real grounded

I love how you so flippantly throw around the word delusional. Delusional? Why because I expect the NFL to put out the best refs and have those refs be competent? Is it delusional to expect a ref to know the difference between a 4th down signal and a TD signal? Is it delusional to expect a ref to actually understand and know how to call an actual hold? Call that what you like but expecting standards is not delsuisonal.

And once again, you miss the point. The point is you should be bitching to the NFL about the Pats. You are right, how do you know the Steelers would not have won three more SB's? In fact all fans should demand that this league be held accountable for fock ups across the board and not, as in your case, when it serves your purpose. You should be pissed that over 60% of NFL fans feel like SB XL was decided by the refs and not by the victorious team. But you will respond by saying  beacsue as I have shown the incompetence served your purpose.

And just for the record, who started this thread? :pointstosky:

That just about sums it up right there.

No Seahawk fan ever said they would have won the game if not for those calls. (And if they did, I apopogise myself for their ignorant statement)

However. All respectable fans stated that those absurdly, and numerous bad calls cost them the opportunity to have a chance to win the game.

Pitt. was granted the chance to win and Seattle wasn't. Period!

Yes indeed. It's funny that a Steeler fan can categorically state the a non-holding call in the Pitt/Jax playoff game last year cost the Steelers but a phantom hold in the SB in now way cost the Seahawks, despite the fact that had the hold not been called the Hawks would have the opportunity to cap off a 99 yard drive that would have given them a 17-14. Would they have scored that TD and won the game? I don't know, but Bill Leavy denied them the opportunity with an incompetent call.

Nothing says that with better officiating, Seattle would have won. Nothing says that if Seattle goes up 17-14, Big Ben can’t march the Steelers down the field and win the game in the final minute. But wow, I really would have liked to see him try. I can’t remember another Super Bowl where I came away saying that the officiating was horrible, and totally slanted towards one team.

I don't understand how Pitt fans cannot see this point. Yet now, we shoud all expect the NFL to be credible and do something with regards to the Pats? :ninja:

Ok, but haven't they had a chance to get back there and prove that they were ripped off and they're really a great team? God, the Seahwaks lost a Super Bowl. Probably a Super Bowl where they weren't even the best NFC team. It's not like they were tearing up teh league and the refs tried to find a way to stop the wrecking-ball-that-was-Seattle.

Questionable calls happen in every single football game played. To hear Seahawk supporters still whining about it makes them seem desparate and petty.

Everyone will be 0-0 in September. Go win the title, Seahawks. MAybe the crying will finally stop.

Hmmm where to start with this nonsense.

1- The Seahawks reeled off 11 straight wins after starting 2-2 and then finished up with meaningless loss in week 17. They finished 13-3 a full 2 games better than anyone else in the NFC but according to you they weren't even the best in the NFC :pointstosky:

2- Once again, Seahawk fans didn't start this thread.

3- I didn't realize that because the Seahawks didn't make it back to the Super Bowl that some how that validates the NFL and its incomptent refs in SB XL. Interesting

4- Questionable calls? You mean like the play clock hitting 0 and then the Refs giving Big Ben a TO after the clock expired? Or do you mean questionable like a linesman signaling 4th down only to reverse his call because he confused the 4th down signal for the TD signal? Or do you mean questionable that when SA was horse collared no call was made? Or do you mean the horrendous call on Hasselbeck making a tackle? Or do you mean a questionable call when Bill leavy totally changed the game with a Phantom hold on Sean Locklear? Questionable I can tolerate; incompetence cannot be accepted.

Seems like you're fine when it happens to somebody else, you just can't stomach it happening to your suckass team...

In the past 10 (or so) years Seattle sports fans have endured:

-Seeing 3 first ballot hall of fame baseball players leave town without ever getting to a World

Series

-Seeing some potentially great basketball teams not being able to capitalize on Jordan's retirement, and only able to get their sh!t together during Jordan's first full season back

-Seeing their potentially greatest basketball player turn into a fat, illegitimate baby-making drug addict

-Seeing the above player traded for a fat, weak-minded alcoholic

-Seeing their actual greatest basketball player traded because of a feud with some yuppie latte baron

-Seeing their basketball team hijacked out of town because the above yuppie latte baron sold the team to some slimy businessmen who happens to be friends with the NBA's commissioner. Instead of an apology the commissioner actually BLAMED the city of Seattle and scolded us for our outrage, threatening to never move a team back here again.

-Seeing their football team lose a Superbowl under questionable circumstances after years of 8-8 finishes

-Jerramy Stevens

I'm sure I missed a lot, but thats just off the top of my head. I can also point out that we currently have the worst baseball team in the MLB. Boston and Chicago got to whine for DECADES about their little curses  and whatnot...we dont have the right to b!tch a little?

N-word please! :pointstosky:

We were the best team in the NFC that year, granted the NFC really sucked
