Guys...I'm really sorry for the delay this morning. I tried to check in about 11:15 CDT, but for some reason, the board wouldn't load. Then, I had to go get the oil changed in my truck (appointment) and that took a bit. Bottom line: I try never to be the guy that slows things down, but I was amazed how fast the picks went after 9:00 this morning. I never dreamed it would be my pick again so soon.

E-mail sent to Clash, and I've got JScott's, robb's and NAn's picks via e-mail if things get bogged down.

I don't know who my 12th was, but i really don't think he put me over. My wideouts did okay though.

remote controller

4.09 Drew Brees, QB NOS

10.09 Jake Delhomme, QB CAR

1.04 Frank Gore, RB SFO

2.09 Maurice Jones-Drew, RB JAX

5.04 Ahman Green, RB HOU

7.04 Kevin Jones, RB DET

3.04 Larry Fitzgerald, WR ARI

6.09 Chris Chambers, WR MIA

8.09 Greg Jennings, WR GBP

9.04 DJ Hackett, WR SEA

11.04 Chris Cooley, WR WAS

-------------------------------------------------------------

Fumble racked up some points between Palmer/Kitna, AD and barber, and Marshall. V4E looks good, but on first look i don't see a clear winner unles it was Fumble.

Falco looks pretty good too. McNabb/Rivers, Bush/Fred Taylor, and Moss/Curtis/Roy Williams.

haha, thats not even a very good team. pretty much the people who did well last year in this mock or in real life are the ones who drafted brady, moss, and i suppose peterson. :wall: stupid fantasy football. unless you got one of those 3 or had the #1 pick, you pretty much were screwed.

i remember that portis was my huge controversial pick last year for taking him too early, and he and colston look like the only two good picks i had. i think i drafted 7 receivers last year and they were such bad picks that only 2 of them are even still on their same teams this year.

the other pick i quite enjoyed was 5.4 ahman green last year, yes THAT ahman green, to none other than remote controller.

Which explains this year, huh Bomb. He was coming off a a big season, and you slammed the pick if i'm not mistaken! :overhead: Nice try though! You hammered NAn's Edge pick too, who ended up 10th in Rb scoring!!!

You also hit on Anthony Gonzalez, and unless I'm missing something, 5 of your WRs are still on the same team.

ok youre right but branch, jones, and jarrett are as good as dead at this point.

also, "hit" on anthony gonzalez may be a relative term. its not like he was playable more than a game or two last year.

speaking of 12th round hits though, how about a hand for todd heap? seriously, how is this guy still available? he was my best "receiver" on the board in like the 7th round. im not going to go tooting anyone's horn here, but let me say this -- cam cameron is in baltimore. i cant stress enough how important is. i know heap is a walking injury. but if hes healthy, hes my #3 TE. i think hes going to get tons of looks, plenty of TD chances for a tight end, and will also be helped by the weak QB needing a short dump-off.

yes its quite possible he is hurt all year and does pretty much nothing. its also quite possible imho that he is this year's kellen winslow. i wouldnt sleep on him in your TE-mandatory drafts this year.

Just drafted him in the 10th round as a backup to H. Miller.

Since you're not going to address it, I will do so. It's not a huge deal, but I want to be honest with you.

This mock has always been based on mutual respect to courtesy to one another....in other words, it's not the Geek Club. I have stated a number of times in the Geek Club that I really detest that particular stereotype and being called that. Normally, people can call me whatever and I don't mind, but that one has negative connotations and doesn't fit who I am at all...in short, I just don't care much for it.

Maybe you meant it in a harmless way. I have no idea. But, like I said, I would appreciate it if it were not used in the future. Thanks for the understanding. :)

I am back guys. Thanks JetDoc for making my selection, altho you took my highest rated WR in D Jax. Good choice by you in the 12th round as Marshall may not be healthy and if he isn't, then DJax could be a #1 in Denver.

I had Heap rated higher than you guys and was very very surprised he lasted until the 12th-I would take him in the 10th in a normal draft, but this was a WR/TE draft!

Thanks everyone. I look forward to the "reviews" and comments by all you mother mockers!!

Yeah, I had him on my list to take in the 12th, and didn't notice that you had him as #1 until after I had picked.

DJax has potential to be a top 30 WR, which is what I really target in the late rounds....boom or bust.

Didn't know you stated that. Totally sorry and it was meant in a harmless way, but sorry none the less. Won't say it again. :( For the record, I think your a stand up dude. :nono:

edit: went back and deleted the offending passage. fumble: :dunno:

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry for being so serious...I guess I just assumed since you frequented the Geek Club often, you were aware of things and just choosing to take a poke. Wiffleball has called me that for a long time and does it as a dig, not just to be funny. I don't know what his problem with me is, but whatever.

Anyway, my apologies for things...I just thought I owed you the courtesy of being honest as I've always gotten along with you just fine in the past.

Thanks again and I'm glad you've been in this mock with us. :dunno:

Yeah, I've said it before and I'll say it again...

The true value of this draft is the commentary. Anyone can participate in a mock draft (and do quite well at it). I personally like the different viewpoints that the mockers bring to this draft and the differing insights that they have. It gives us great perspective when we get into the true drafting/trading season of how others might be valuing each player and each position.
