With six of the twelve guys from the Jetdoc Mock participating in this one as well, I learned that I could probably get somebody I wanted at this corner and I did....although it was a tough decision for me between Palmer and another QB that I value highly. If I had thought Palmer or QB to be named later would both go prior to 5.12/6.01, I would have taken Brees at 4.01.

 

It just fell this way. No need to take a QB early when you guys will allow guys like Palmer and (other QB) to fall this far.

Well, the other shoe dropped quick. Roethlisberger and Palmer are ranked almost dead even for me. Hard to ignore Roth's gaudy TD totals from 2007. I just think Pittsburgh will run more this year in the red zone and Cincy will be forced to pass in shootout contests. Solid pick, remote. Both guys are good value here, IMO.

I have Roth on a tier above Palmer. PIT is moving to a pass first offense. Ben asked for a big redzone target and they drafted him one. That says a lot. His numbers have steadily increased over the last 3 seasons while Palmers have decreased. I think Palmer went where he should, in the six, but I think RC got great value with Roth here as I think he'll outperform a 6th round pick.

I got of of lucky with my 6th round pick. I was soooo intent on a Gonzo/rb corner that I didn't even consider Big Ben going in. I messed up with my pick of Smith initially. I took him out of fear that all possible #3 rb's would be gone soon. I failed to take into consideration that Fumble already had 3 Rb's. My plan was to grab Gonzo, after Evans left the board, but I paniced. I am fine with Smith now, and have some good plans for me TE's, but thanks to this mess up I re-checked the board and found an QB target I had on Big Ben for the 5th. He is my 5th rated qb, and makes me feel better about overlooking Gonzo. I did needed the back more, so all is good now.

I like the pick as it is rather clear that Benson still isn't "getting it" and will likely be supplanted by Forte if the rook shows even a meager ability to run, catch and block....

I was looking for another RB with this pick, but Roddy is just too good to pass up. I seem to be higher on him than most and that's probably due to the rookie QB situation, but remember who was throwing to him last season and he still had 1200/6 and finished as the 14th overall WR, way ahead of a number of WRs that have already been drafted. The rookie QB will have to throw to prove himself and relieve pressure for Turner, and Roddy will get his. I'm projecting 1100/7.

Uhhh you do know CHI released Benson right, so he's already been supplanted.

 

And I considered Forte, instead of Roddy but I'm not sure if Adrian Peterson will start or Forte or if it will be RBBC so I passed.

I love Roddy, but the one thing i did not want to do was corner the market of Falcons, as i did not feel it would be quite as good of a combo as some pf you other guys have. I mentioned earlier that I was looking at Evans until he was taken. I was also looking at Roddy until I decided I couldn't depend on two Falcons at the same time. Nice pic!

Doesn't it seem like Galloway has been around for like decades now.....it's amazing that he is still able to remain a viable NFL player at his age after so many seasons. He is rather small and yet still pops up in drafts as a tangible option year after year.....just an observation....
