First of all...I'm a Pats fan

Second of all... i had no idea they picked up Lamont Jordan

Third of all... I have Jordan in my dynasty league and was going to drop him before my draft since i thought he was done... and then I saw the boxscores for NE's first preseason game... looks like he played half decent.

Does anyone have any info on him? Is he expected to make the Pats final roster? I realize he probably won't compete for a starting job but might be a good handcuff to Maroney.

Any info is welcome!!!!

Anything? Well, uh I guess I, deep down, am feeling a little confused. I mean, suddenly, you get married, and you're supposed to be this entirely different guy. I don't feel different. I mean, take yesterday for example. We were out at the Olive Garden for dinner, which was lovely. And uh, I happen to look over at a certain point during the meal and see a waitress taking an order, and I found myself wondering what color her underpants might be. Her panties. Uh, odds are they are probably basic white, cotton, underpants. But I sort of think well maybe they're silk panties, maybe it's a thong. Maybe it's something really cool that I don't even know about. You know, and uh, and I started feeling... what? what I thought we were in the trust tree in the nest, were we not?

I heard he's really happy about not being in Oakland...and he's humble. Some stuff he mumbled last night

"Today's performance is important because I'm trying to make this ballclub"

... "I'm not thinking about Oakland"

19 carries, 76 yards, TD vs. 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Tough to say at this point; that much playing time just might indicate he's behind Sammy Morris.

The only thing I got out of last night's game was Chad Jackson was as unimpressive as the reports about him lately.

If they get him they should line him up at left tackle and keep maroney in the backfield. They could run two receiver sets and direct snap to the left tackle and no one would see it coming, and it would be impossible to defend. They would essentially be unstoppable.

Last night was a tryout to see if he was ready to go and be a part of this team. He answered that question. Now, he will have to earn a spot on the roster, which is no simple task. The team had 4 RB's on the roster last season. If you want to go with them having 5 on the roster this season as they break camp (a likely scenario), then he is going to probably be behind Maroney, Faulk, Morris, and Heath Evans (FB and special teams player). That means that he is competing with Kyle Eckel (special teams) and BenJarvis Green-Ellis (rookie) for that (possible) last spot on the roster. Since Jordan is not going to be a special teams player (very important with short rosters), he is really going to have to show his value to just make the team.

With all of that said, I think that he takes that 5th spot with Eckel being cut and Green-Ellis (hopefully) making it to the practice squad. However, I don't see him having much value in FF unless you have super huge cajones or a super deep league.

According to a link on NFL.COM, they show him as a NE Pat Jordan

Plus Jordan ran the ball well in Thursday's preseason opener versus the Ravens, carrying 19 times for 76 yards with a touchdown.

Honestly though, as a Pat's fan, we would be looking to you for info on this.
