Pavlov 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Hubris, of course, is to blame. I was thrilled with my team on paper after the draft but after a 0-2 start, in part due to bad match-ups, I'm beginning to wonder what I can do in terms of righting the ship. Part of me figures that I just need to be patient and ride out the storm. It's a PPR league starting 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 Def. My team: QB: P. Manning, Kitna, T. Edwards (Kitna and Manning share a bye on week 4, Edwards plays the Rams on week 4) RB: Tomlinson, Jones-Drew, Julius Jones, D. McFadden, Sproles. (Of course, McFadden and Sproles were on the bench week 2) WR: Boldin, Bowe, V. Jackson, R. Brown, J. Gage TE: D. Clark, Rosario K: Longwell Def: Baltimore Hold pat or look to improve my WR situtation? I'm hoping when Brown gets back in the lineup--and to a certain extent Clark as well--things will look up for my WR points; there's just a huge dropoff after Boldin right now. Leave a link and I'll get back to yours.
FFdummy 0 Posted September 16, 2008 I would package LT and Sproles for a BIG TIME WR and maybe a small time RB. I like McFadden to produce along with Jones-Drew, since Fred Taylor is nowhere to be found. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324169
Bgards79 0 Posted September 16, 2008 I think I would hold pat with that you have. 0-2 is no time to give up on a well-drafted team. Manning will get it going, LT has a history of getting out of the blocks a bit slow, and McFadden appears to be the real deal. Thanks for mine.
smash-a-mus 6 Posted September 16, 2008 i'm not sure what WR is on your waiver wire but i'd drop Rosario for someone eddie royal, david patten, or even koren robinson (just signed with seahawks). rosario is a one time deal. jeff king is the #1 tight end there. Rochester Blizzard 0 Posted September 16, 2008 I too would hold pat with your team. However, if you go down 0 - 3, then I would start making cahnges.
Pavlov 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Yeah, Rosario is my stop-gap measure until Dallas Clark gets healthy. That said, I could probably do better even if it's just for one more week and the bye. Sadly, my roster requires a TE slot, so none of those names would fit in there. EDIT: My signature's roster now reflects my current back-up TE.
ScreamingEagles 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Anything good on the waiver wire? I would think your 0-2 start has a lot to do w/ LT and MJD not doing much yet (feel your pain there!). Probably best to stand pat for now unless there is somebody like an Eddie Royal or Desean Jackson still available. Maybe James Hardy. Think you could get anything decent in a trade for Kitna? I don't think he is all that necessary on your roster. Thanks for helping with mine!
broncosfan24 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Yeah. I would keep your team as is, my team is doing the same thing 0-2 and it is completely stacked. I have been searching Waivers though. If you are in a league without a Royal or Jackson owner, take them. Jackson is an idiot, as proved last night, but he can play. At 0-3, you may want to make some minor changes, but your team looks solid. Please help me. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324266
tazman01 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Don't give up hope - you have a nice team. Bowe is a good wide you'll be fine but not sure about Rosario. Overall you have had bad luck for two weeks, but it is about to change. Thanks for mine.
pit fan 0 Posted September 17, 2008 I would have to agree with those that said to hold pat for now, I think you have a nice team. But if you do go to 0-3, 1-4 you should definitely look to shake things up. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324317
dalie 2 Posted September 17, 2008 Yup....I would hold pat, it is too early to make any major moves/changes. Unless a GREAT deal comes your way. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3725709
TheSithLord 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Great Team ! Hold Pat. LT is always known to start slow and you have his backup. Boldin and Bowe are 3/4th round recievers. Try to get a reciever from waiver if possible. I would hold to this team.
