wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 14, 2008 Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended for at least four games for his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy, the NFL announced Tuesday. Jones In announcing his decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Jones' "disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL." Goodell will determine the final length of Jones' suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on Nov. 16, the league said. In his latest transgression, Jones was involved in an alcohol-related physical altercation at a Dallas hotel on Oct. 8 that resulted in hotel employees calling the police. Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season for multiple violations of the league's personal conduct policy. In reinstating Jones on Aug. 28, Goodell said that the player's participation in the NFL depended on demonstrating that he can conduct himself in a socially responsible manner, avoiding any other conduct that brings disrespect to himself, his team, or the NFL. The decision on whether Jones can return to play this season will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL. Brad GLuckman 519 Posted October 14, 2008 If Goodell doesn't ban Pacman from the NFL for life he should be fired

Even though it will cost my Titans another draft pick to the Cowgirls over this focktard, I am glad he focked up again. Fock him, and fock Dallas.

Your Titans may not be out any picks yet. I read a rumor that when Obama gets elected he will pardon him on the basis that the white man is just trying to keep the black man down. Hence he will be free to play with a clean slate.

Snoopy1 0 Posted October 14, 2008 does anyone have details of this incident? All I've read is he was in some sort of scuffle.
Snoopy1 0 Posted October 15, 2008 In the latest incident, Dallas police said officers responded around 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and that the matter was over by the time they arrived. Hotel employees had reported hearing a tussle in the men's restroom in the lobby. The player and the bodyguard, Tommy Jones, said everything was OK. Police said both were driven from the hotel by an acquaintance, and the bodyguard, part of a security detail provided by the Cowboys, didn't want to press charges. Jerry Jones said last week banter between the player and his bodyguard got out of hand, resulting in the scuffle. A small glass item on the vanity in the restroom was damaged. So him and his bodyguard were talking trash-pushed each other a bit and what--an ashtray broke...jeez, sounds a bit like an overreaction by the NFL.

Props to Goodell on this one. I guess he showed that "zero tolerance" means "zero focking tolerance." The practice of Jerry Jones having paid goons follow Pac arounds 24/7 was focking ridiculous, and it still didn't work. The Boys should cut this clown immediately, if they have any focking integrity at all.

This is almost definitely they spun version of the story. I also heard that part of his reinstatement said that he could not drink alcohol and he was drinking that night. Well thats the cleaned up version I'm sure. But all reports are that Pacman was drunk or atleast drinking and one the stipulations by Goodell to let him play was that he could not be involved in any sort of alcohol related incidents. Read it on SI-he was drinking, but witnesses said he wasn't drunk. Anyway-just think the entire thing was blown pretty much out of proportion...whatever, don't really care about the Cowboys. kozmiq 70 Posted October 15, 2008 FWIW ... I used to be in an internet FF league with a guy from Denton, TX which is a few miles north of Dallas. He was a raging Cowpuzzy fan and me = raging Redskins fan. We became "friendly" for a while. Anyway, I e-mailed him about this and he said the 'word on the street' down there was: Adam Jones was drinking and it was late and he wanted to continue partying at another spot. He tried to elude the PI that was assigned to him but couldn't shake him. A fight broke out and a mirror in the bathroom was broken when one of the two was thrown into it. That's why the cops were called. Btw, this Cowpuzzy fan doesn't like Jerry Jones for whatever reason and he said it was common knowledge down there that the PI guys carried a wad of 100 dollar bills and in case Pacman got into trouble with anyone, they were to distribute the c-notes to keep things hush hush. KSB2424 3,148 Posted October 15, 2008 Nobody was hurt, nobody pressed charges, nobody was arrested. This is stupid. Anything "zero tolerence" is stupid. With that said, I don't like Pacman. He isn't even that good.
