supermike80 1,911 Posted October 16, 2008 I am losing my faith in people every time I read the postings of 99% of you on any political thread. Focus folks...for the love of God FOCUS!!! It isn't about who won...who cares? This is about what issues are important to you, what issues are important to this country(in your mind)-- why would you care who "won" a debate? It just shows ALL of you to be nothing more than American "televisioned" people. You don't care one bit about the issues, you care about the fluff, about the battles. Then you cry like little girls when the candidates don't talk issues....you act like you are upset they are running a campaign based on how they look rather than what is important....but you are the enablers. You are the enablers.....Accept it. Losers all of you.

Do you really think there would have been NO DIFFERENCE if we had 8 YEARS OF GORE INSTEAD OF BUSH? C'mon ... nobody is that stupid anymore .... are they? Brad GLuckman 519 Posted October 16, 2008 Nothing happened that will change the current pace of the election...so Obama wins. On the issues, McCain just cannot get his point across and that kills him in these things. He has times where I honestly think any of us could say what he wants to say...better than he could. He doesn't explain things very well. While, Obama continues to sway American voters with his pretty words...even if half of them don't know what those words mean. For example: When McCain says "Obama wants to spread the wealth around"...all he says to reiterate that point is "spread the wealth around" over and over again. He should have used other words like income redistribution, specifically explained that Barrack Obama thinks he knows what to do with your money better than you do, there are a million different ways to say it...to show people how absolutely socialist Obama's view about redistribution are...but all he keeps saying is "spread the wealth around"...I don't think the average American fully understands what that means. Mostly because I think the average American is extremely stupid.

Stewardes: What did you just call me .... HONKEY! At any rate .... Bush ...... biggest tard EVER! (edit: a blackument is an argument that a white person should just stfu because he/she can't relate). mayhem39 3 Posted October 16, 2008 This is the first debate where there is a clear cut winner. The 1st debate was very close and I couldn't disagree with any arguments on both sides. The 2nd debate favored Obama with the line of questioning and I would say that he probably won that debate. This debate is not even close, McCain is wiping the floor with him. Obama would have been better off not showing up. I am sure that the dems with the liberal blinders will disagree, but anyone watching it objectively would agree. LMAO at you being objective..... wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 16, 2008 http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/15/deb...poll/index.html Eighty percent of debate watchers polled said McCain spent more time attacking his opponent, "Independents tend to prefer debates that are dominated by substance and light on discussion of personal characteristics," said Keating Holland, CNN polling director. "The perception that McCain attacked Obama gave red meat to GOP partisans, but it probably didn't help McCain with independents." favorable opinion of Obama rose slightly during the debate, from 63 percent at the start to 66 percent at the end. The poll indicates that McCain's favorables dropped slightly, from 51 percent to 49 percent. This is the key right there. I don't get it - honestly. EVERY damn poll showed that attacking BoMamma was a bad idea. - Was actually HURTING McCain with the remaining undecideds/independents. McPalin even came out and paid lip service at the start of this week saying they were now going to run a clean campaign (or WTE). - THEN he turns around and spends the debate doing exactly what hurts him most. Yes, like they said above - it DEFINITELY gives his nutjob base a hard-on, but they're voting for him ANYWAY. Honestly, all the conservatives bashing his campaign team seem to have it right - they're doing a horrible job in that regard. Posted this in the other debate thread. I really don't know why the hell McCain's people keep him doing that which has consistently proven to HURT his campaign. His job isn't just to pander to the voters he already locked up, but to win those he hasn't. - And he's failing miserably.

He doesn't explain things very well. While, Obama continues to sway American voters with his pretty words...even if half of them don't know what those words mean. I agree with a lot of this. John and Sarah both do this. Either they don't really understand beyond the catch-phrases, or they just can't communicate effectively. Your example is good. He (or Sarah) did the same thing in the last debate - "I'm / John's a maverick!" He/She just kept saying that, but when you vote with Bush 90% of the time, (as the other side pointed out), your response can't be "He's a maverick!" - You just can't DO that. HOW, WHY is he a "maverick?" How do you reconcile that against the 90% number? And, like you said, I honestly feel like I could take just about anything that has been lobbed at / asked of McCain/Palin and craft better answers for them. Even though I'm not voting for John this time, being educated on both sides issues, it's damn near painful to sit there and listen to their catchphrase / buzzword answers when there's so much more. I honestly think John's camp thinks like you do - that everyone is stupid. I mean, what other explanation could you have for that ridiculous "Sarah HAS FP experience - she's right NEXT to Russia!" That wasn't a one-time gaffe - that was a scripted and approved talking point.

BudBro 182 Posted October 16, 2008 barry still couldn't justify his vote in favor of infanticide. the downfall of liberalism is how little care they give to the least able to care for themselves, yet they yell the loudest at how much they care.
itsbigmoni 1 Posted October 16, 2008 barry still couldn't justify his vote in favor of infanticide. Things are so much better now that i know barak is going to win. I now look forward to republicans making crazy threads and making stupid comments. Its funny to see people dismiss barack finishing in the top 10% at harvard law, claim he was born in kenya, etc. Things like the comment made by budbro. It just amazes me people can be so naive, or stupid, or whatever. I'm guessing bud is going over the top in a colbert way because there aren't many people in America that are stupid enough to say obama favors infanticide. I was mad about that too. I thought he should of been proud of his vote on infanticide. It's so much cheaper to kill them in the womb, then to wait until they commit a crime, have a trial, sit on death row for 12 years, wait out the appeals, find a doctor who will fill up with windex...just kill those bastages in the womb. 400 bucks clean and simple!
