GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted November 2, 2008 I just traded for him (gave up virtually nothing), and I'm thinking of starting him over Dwayne Bowe at WR3. For some odd reason, I can see this guy coming out on MNF and having a big game. Am I crazy to believe this? He did have a huge game last year on MNF on the road against Arizona (6 catches, 128 receiving, 2 TDs). It also helps that Shawn Springs is out, and Carlos Rogers is questionable (as is LaRon Landry). Thoughts?
jerryskids 7,088 Posted November 2, 2008 Hmm... I'm currently benching him for Plax, Breaston, and Braylon, but with that injury news, I may plug him in over Braylon. My concern with Washington DEF in general is it is designed to prevent the deep ball, which is Sanjointio's strength.
TennisMenace 156 Posted November 2, 2008 SH has done virtually nothing all year except one TD pass he broke. To me, he is very risky still because Pitt OL is horrible and Ben is shaky against GOOD defenses. Could he break one - yeah, but Wash doesn't give up too many long TD passes, do they? Did Calvin J. get a long TD last week? Nope. He got a short one. I think Ben looks to Ward or TE for the short TDs.
GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted November 2, 2008 I'm gonna keep Holmes on the bench for now, but he's a nice alternative to have is someone gets hurt (3 starting wideouts are Calvin Johnson, Berrian and Bowe).
