Milwalkeysbeast 0 Posted December 31, 2008 with brett favre, the Packers would have LOST an extra 2 or 3 games. Before his first retirement, he ended his career on an INT. If he retires this time, he will do the same! Probowl my ass, take away his 6 TD game and he doesn't deserve the shot to start.

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted December 31, 2008 The Packers did the right thing. If Favre made any difference this season they'd just be squeaking into the playoffs and not advancing. Rodgers would be one year less experienced as a starter and they would have to do the whole Will he?/Wont He? thing again until traning camp starts. Fock Favre. I love him, he's the man, we'll never see another player like him. He's done, have fun doing commercials.

You will be joining him on my list. you said you were already ignoring me....i believe you as much as i believe TT..... so sure..go ahead and ignore me...call me a fisher..say i dont know anything.... point out what i was wrong about.... in july...this was dragged out and the egomaniac GM made his move... i said this will deem the team irrelevant now and theyll only win 7 games....so it was 6...i overestimated rodgers..... 6-10.....rodgers...0-7 in late game comebacks....0-8 counting the atlanta game.... the guy lights it up during the 2nd and 3rd quarter....which is great for your lil FF league..... but hes not clutch.....but i guess i dont know anything if i *gasp* dare to say that TT was wrong about something again...... When does Deanna get Brett's cack back from out of your mouth? You are living in some serious denial of what happened this season. I guess his own teammates words this year about him mean nothing to you too huh? Keep thinking Rodgers is just a C level at best QB.

I guess his own teammates words this year about him mean nothing to you too huh? Keep thinking Rodgers is just a C level at best QB. when do you quit with the brett favre sex talk? thats twice now...keep it clean and talk football, champ..you amay be slipping and letting some old fantasies out... you ignore a lot of what i say anyway...ive long said that favre was a diva...he doesnt hang with his teammates...is he supposed to? phil simms didnt near the end..neither did elway, to name 2...you always leave that out..you reply to 1 lil line i say and dwell on it... id rather have a guy who locked himself in a private room, took naps, and won 9 games....as opossed to a guy who is everyones friend and only has 3 quality wins under his belt.... but hey...aarons a fun and great guy!! who cares if he clams up in the 4th quarter? he plays cards with the guys ryan grant wishes he was in jones place right now.... aaron IS a c level qb..3 of the top 5 qbs in yardage missed the playoffs..but i bet they all had amazing seasons, right?...rodgers better start winning games..he KNOWS this offense..hes C and hanging on the edge..if it wasnt for favre, not many would even KNOW rodgers..he'd be considered another schaub...ill keep thinking it..you keep with the stats and blaming the rest of the team... 6-
Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 3, 2009 Yes, I do ignore much of wha tyou say Bmoney...much of its the same regurgitated BS. And I used that barb about Favre and you because you are nonstop with the whining about Rodgers and now praise of Favre...something you never did til he left town (and subsequently played bad and has been getting blasted by his teammates...which you love to ignore as if it is not happening). Meanwhile, GB has a QB that the players like, coaches like, and who played pretty darn well despite your denial of his ability. Brett Favre did not win 9 games...the NY Jets did...sometimes despite his poor play (see the 2nd half of the Buffalo game). You talk about Rodger's 4th quarter stats...did you see Favre's? Or his 3rd down stats? You are not helping yourself there...Favre was not so good.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted January 3, 2009 Just for a little factual perspective on the issue (and I credit Jeremy for digging these stats out). Here are Favre's numbers the last 5 games in each of the last 4 seasons: 2005: 1 touchdown, 10 interceptions, 54.40 passer rating 2006: 4 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 61.22 passer rating 2007: 6 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 73.33 passer rating 2008: 2 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 54.90 passer rating So that's 13 touchdowns, 34 interceptions, and a 59.92 passer rating in those 20 games. "And we're all aware of his playoff performances the last decade. He clearly wears down as the season goes on, so winning the Superbowl was a pipe dream assuming they [the Jets] did their research. " [it's also a pretty good argument for the Packers not wanting to delay the development of Aaron Rodgers any longer.] So you can thank the Packers for enabling the Vikes to win the NFL North and make the playoffs, but the argument doesn't hold any water - unless you are really thanking the Pack for not letting Favre go to the Vikes, in which case your argument is probably valid. All of the stats above are FACTS, not OPINIONS. Opinions are like azzholes, everybody has one, (and most believe that theirs is the only one that don't stink - just ask Dallas Empire about that...LOL). What is obvious is that, in retrospect, Favre should have stayed retired - left the Packers and the NFL at or near the top of his game. What is now also obvious (to me anyway) is that Favre's career is - for all practical purposes - done. Time to stick a fork in it - and this thread.
