Uh-huh 0 Posted January 20, 2009 8 year nightmare? Really? I'll give you 3 or so, but EIGHT? Technically more than 8, if you start counting from December 9, 2000. That's when this disaster actually started.

phillybear 366 Posted January 20, 2009 Couldn't have said it better. I was definitely inspired by the hope of us becoming united as a country and as a world. In a two party system, uniting is impossible. And fock the world. That's like being a manager of a team, and taking marching orders from the fans. Stupid. naomi 360 Posted January 20, 2009 I think they just aired Def Poetry Jam live on TV. ...Yellow will be mellow, the red man can get ahead man, white will embrace what is right. "Brown don't be down" or something rather was in there somewhere. In the midst of all the noble sounding formal speak that was a great interruption.

No, it's like being manager of a team but making sure that the league is still sound enough to keep the game alive. The other teams still affect the league as a whole so what they do and how we deal with them affect us as well. Common sense.

Let's look at a league that doesn't practice communism, like baseball. Should the Boston RedSox ask permission from the Oakland A's to sign a free agent, make sure their feelings aren't hurt, make sure Oakland can still be competitive next year, or do they focking do the right thing for their team and their fans and go for dominance and a championship. surferskin 31 Posted January 20, 2009 Benediction at Obama 's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery: 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. phillybear 366 Posted January 20, 2009 Hate is cool. Speaking of which, ever notice how Fonzie was 40 years old, but he hung out with high school kids and dated teenage girls? And this was cool, while that poor, innocent bike repair shop owner got arrested for giving Dudley a roofie. Where is the justice in the world? No justice, no peace. wiffleball 4,797 Posted January 20, 2009 GEORGE BUSH IS OFFICIALLY OUT OF WASHINGTON! His plane has just taken off. Interestingly, while he's still technically on what we refer to as "Air Force One', since he's no longer President, you can't officially call it that. It's call sign now is Failure One. wiffleball 4,797 Posted January 20, 2009 ...And here's where I turned off the video feed: Sam Donaldson asking "Is there litter?" Followed almost immediately by Radio Host Michael Reagan giving a shout out to his daughter's 3rd grade class. peenie 1,965 Posted January 20, 2009 thorton and ravens - please read: The oath includes the phrase "that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States" but Roberts didn't say "faithfully" until after saying "president of the United States." Obama apparently realized that something was out of order. With Obama not reciting, Roberts then repeated the phrase correctly, the brief awkward moment ended and Obama was back on track. Lord, in the memory of all the MEN who actually did something for this country, and in the joy of putting things back to the way they should be, we ask you to help us work for that day when the eggrolls and eggplants learn to speak proper English, when brown doesn't mean you get a free stuff and handouts just because you're Brown... when the red man can get ahead when he gets straight A's in school and a J-O-B; and when terrorists will embrace the idea that sometimes you come across somebody you shouldn't have messed with?. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'... and finally anybody offended by my sayin' "Amen" outta' clear out the back, cuz' I'm gonna shoot ya', shoot ya' friends, kill ya' dog, and burn your damn house down. Amen. I mean, I know it ain't right but it sure would be cute and funny to hear old Walt get up there and tell it like it is. Amen.
