The fact is, many posters here complain about what they claim is "socialist", and act like it's different than what Bush did on his watch. The fact is, it's not a left or right issue. I did see what you posted in the other thread. I was just using a broad brush when I said that and was not necessarily directing that towards you. You have certainly showed that you can use rationalization.

 

You are right here too with the part about Bush did it as well. THAT was my point. Conservatives like myself know Bush's spending was out of control. Just because Bush did it doesn't make it alright.

So, let me get this straight. You think that putting caps on companies who take government funds so that they don't take that dough and use it for bonuses (that should not be earned) or junkets for employees (that should be given) is "socialist"?

 

While there is too much pork in the bill, we cannot let the banking industry completely collapse. We need to regulate how that money is spent. Over-regulation is bad. No regulation is bad. Putting caps on execs that take this money is prudent.
