How Many Hair Products do you use?

Recommended Posts

I presently have four (4) in. Gel, leave-in conditioner, mousse & hair spray.

It would be zero (0) if I could sport the

I'm not a focking h0m0, so the answer would be NONE!

Yeah me neither, but my hair is in this wild in-between stage which requires significant taming.

I use a gel/paste type product for styling. So the answer is: One

I strive for just one as well.

But, they didn't have my usual brand of gel last time, so I got this other product . . . . though Billy Dee Williams is not on the jar, I swear I think the product was designed for persons with a different hair texture than myself . . . thus the need to cut it with conditioner/mousse/spray.

My routine involves a cheap, light gel (currnetly Sauve) which I apply before blow drying.

After blown/styled into the proper style of organized messyness. I hit it with a product called V05 styling gum. I get it on my fingertips and pull out pieces of hair to further achieve the perfect look. :dunno:

Ok, that sounds like dos (2).

I've never gotten into blow drying . . . I don't think it would help unless I was looking for more volume, which is exactly what I'm working to eliminate.

I've heard that aloe vera is a decent hair gel. I haven't tried it because, well, I give a fock what I look like, but given the above list of products you use, obviously you don't.

Also I use a Redkin paste, not sure which one. So for recidivist's spreadsheet, that would be a 1.

Never blow dry my hair. Use a little pomade to style the hair but not enough to make it look greasy or stiff. Occasionally I'll spike it up if I am in a certain mood.

You should include the backwards cap in your hair products. :dunno:

I don't really use a blow dryer to style. I just use it to speed up the drying process. With teh gel, it stays we-looking too long.

It's more wavy than curly; it's not dry, probably normal, but that's likely because I condition it regularly.

My hair presently is about the same length as the pic I posted on the pinned geek photo thread (page 14). That was from Feb. 2008. Since then, I grew it out to where it was the same length all around (about an 1" below my clavicle).

In February of this year I read an article about this place in Palm Beach that solicits donations of human hair to make wigs for children who lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Being the generous and philanthropic dude that I am, I decided to get mine hacked so I could donate - 14" of flowing mane. It was actually pretty fun as my sister braided it into about a dozen or so braids all around my head. We then went around and let friends and family members cut a braid. My Dad, who hates when I have long hair was so into it he lopped off two braids and would have kept going but for my Mom intervening.

All I got out of the deal was a thank you card and a crew-cut. I'm actually growing it out so I can donate again sometime next year.
