steel827 2 Posted November 25, 2009 Love the matchup against the Rams. Seahawks generally do well against them. Rumblings that Jones may start this week. Even if he does will he make it through the game? Can I expect 15-20 touches from Forsett? I have Hightower to go with CJ & LT2.
TwentyFourSeven 23 Posted November 25, 2009 I'm wondering the same thing... Luckily this week all of my hurt RB's have 1:00 games so we'll know before the kickoffs.
TennisMenace 156 Posted November 25, 2009 How could JJones start over Forsett? Un-believable!
Jaxie 0 Posted November 25, 2009 I'm pissed that Jones may start over Forsett. He looked decent even vs. the Vikings run defense. I'd love to have Forsett against he crappy Rams, but the Jones rumblings make me nervous.
FeelingMN 273 Posted November 25, 2009 Julius Jones would step back into the starting spot ahead of Justin Forsett if Jones (ribs, lung) is able to play this week. We're not expecting Jones to be at 100 percent, so Forsett should get plenty of action against the Rams either way. Forsett struggled to run the ball against the Vikings, but that was expected. His ability to catch the ball gives the Seahawks an added weapon. Consider Jones very questionable for now. Nov. 24 - 12:50 pm et http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...0397&spln=1 I wouldn't worry too much about JJ this weekend. He had a bruised lung....which means he hasn't done jack since suffering the injury.....which means his stamina has to be affected. We'll see how much he practices this week, but I can't see him getting more work than Forsett. Then again, I'm starting Forsett so maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part. I'm hoping for some more info on JJ's status. If he's a no-go, Forsett starts at Flex for me. Otherwise, I have Austin or KSmith as option, so I need to decide tomorrow am. I don't trust Austin with the way Romo's been playing plus he has the Nnamdi factor this week. And KSmith has become strictly a matchup play. With Calvin and Stafford prolly out this week, The banged-up Packers will concentrate on shutting down Smith IMO.
jerryskids 6,790 Posted November 25, 2009 I currently have him in as a flex, but this is troubling. Unfortunately my other options aren't terribly appealing -- guys like Edwards, Breaston, Gates (no TE req'd and I'm starting VJax). Oh well, what would a FF weekend be without something to fret over. HawkLatino 0 Posted November 25, 2009 I have Forsett in my starting line-up for now, but I guess we'll just have to wait until Sunday to see what will happen. If Forsett doesn't go, then I'll start Rock Cartwright because I refuse to start Forte at Minn!
Huh? 7 Posted November 25, 2009 Wow, what a terrible day! I was all ready to go with Forsett and Scott in my starting lineup, and today I find out that Jones AND Benson are likely to play. Now I have to decide whether to keep them both in and hope for the best or replace one of them with Maclin and hope for the best. Michael Turner NEEEEEEEDS to come back for the future of my team!!!! FeelingMN 273 Posted November 25, 2009 Per Rotoworld: The Seahawks held Julius Jones (ribs, lung) out of Wednesday's practice, but coach Jim Mora reiterated that he expects Jones to play in Week 12. "We're still expecting him to be ready to play," Mora said. The team's beat reporters also seem fairly confident that Jones will be available at St. Louis. His return would deal a sizable blow to Justin Forsett's start-ability in fantasy leagues. Jones gets virtually all of the Seahawks' red-zone carries. I'm gonna wait to see for sure if JJ suits up Sunday, but I'm feeling less confident in starting Forsett this weekend.

Not trying to shoot the messenger, but why would a team which is essentially out of the playoffs rush back a guy with bruised lung/ribs who, frankly, isn't clearly better than the one replacing him? This just doesn't pass the sniff test to me. I'm going to have to monitor this.

This just doesn't pass the sniff test to me. I'm going to have to monitor this. My thoughts exactly. There is no benefit at this point other than to rule that JJ isn't the future of the team. With him still recovering, it would be stupid to take a chance in his condition. This almost sounding like that failed ESPN Playmakers TV series.

It makes no sense to rush back your 'starting' RB.....but whatever, Mora is nothing but a retread coach, so I guess it's to be expected.

I enjoyed that show (for what it was) and probably in large part because it was the closest I have come to getting my wife to watch football.

LOL - mine still try's to watch games once in a great while. She even bought tickets to go see Houston beat up on the Lambs next month.. But I agree with you, it was a good show...too bad the NFL thought it too real.
b.j. booker 0 Posted November 29, 2009 Bump. Any updates on Julius Jones?
FeelingMN 273 Posted November 29, 2009 Coach Jim Mora revealed Friday that Julius Jones (ribs, lung) is still in pain and will be a game-time decision in Week 12. Jones was "limited" in Seahawks practice for the second straight day Friday. Jones' lung is still bruised, and he is questionable on the injury report. Despite Mora's unreasonable early-week optimism, Jones' status is very much in doubt for Sunday's game against the Rams. The teams will square off at 1PM ET Sunday. Justin Forsett will be the every-down back if Jones sits.
